Which has better hostel conditions, NIT Trichy, or NIT Warangal?
NIT Warangal provides very good hostel facilities to first-year students among most of the Engineering students in India. The approximate cost for a hostel ranges from 1.8-2k.
Second-year students are required to stay in the Old Blocks which is not as good as the hostels of First-year students.
For Third Year students, an average hostel costing 1k is provided with pretty decent facilities.
At a glance, we can say that the hostel facilities of NIT Warangal are better than that of NIT Trichy.
How are hostel facilities for M.Tech / MS / Direct PhD students at IIT Madras?
IIT Madras hostel facilities are the same for students of all degree programs. M.Tech, MS, or Ph.D. students don’t get any different facilities.
- PG students have single room accommodation. Every room has LAN connectivity. You will get access to DC++, a great sharing platform. There’s also a separate computer room with LAN connectivity. You can use the computer room if you face any problems with your laptop.
- Each bathroom has washing machines.
- You can get eatable, snacks from the vending machine, inside the hostel.
- There’s a common room with television, magazines, and newspapers.
The hostels have a sports room with carom, TT, etc. Badminton court and other sports facilities are also available inside the hostel premises.
Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs): What are the facilities at an IIT hostel?
Some of my friends are IIT Madras alumni. Here is their insight into the hostel facilities of the institute.
- The hostels have 24 hours internet connection. Internet speed goes up to 100 Mbps. There’s a 1GB per day data usage cap.
- There is an airconditioned tech room that stays open 24 hours a day. The tech rooms have power tools. You can use the tools to get simple carpentry stuff done.
- You will have access to the Center of Innovation, a tech-conductive facility. Among other things, it has a 3D printing machine, a workstation for carrying out powerful stimulations. Most tech junkies on campus usually crowd over there.
- Every hostel usually has a hostel room, a TV room, a computer room, and an indoor games room. All basic amenities are available in the hostels along with washing machines and portable water supply.
- The hostel rooms can feel a bit constricted at times. But every hostel has a huge central ground.
- Power cuts are quite rare. There are also utility support staffs to help you out even during night.
- The HUL snack station stays open from evening to late at night every day. There are also many eateries near the campus.
A unique trait of the IIT Madras campus is its forested area. Although it is outside the boundaries of the hostel zone, you can wander off to this area when you need a Psychological high.
Is it compulsory to live in hostel in NLU DELHI?
Yes, it is mandatory that you choose to live in the hostel during the course period at National Law University (NLU), Delhi. Most essentially, NLU Delhi offers a personal residential campus wherein students are expected to stay while pursuing their courses.
However, there are times that you can otherwise choose not to stay full-time in the hostel of NLU Delhi. It is only in certain distinct circumstances that students are permitted to be day-scholar. You will need permission from the administration for the same.
How are hostels in Nalsar?
In your first three years at NALSAR, you will share a room with one other person. These rooms aren't as huge as you'd like, but they're also not too inconvenient. When you reach the fourth year, you will be assigned a single room. These rooms aren't particularly large, either. If you're lucky, like me, you might be able to get a room with a view of Shamirpet lake.
The boys' hostel block has become overcrowded as a result of the increased admission. The girls' block is a little busier than normal, but it hasn't hit capacity yet. They've also lately built a massive new hostel that offers single rooms to its residents, so that problem appears to be resolved.

Well, it completely depends on your expectation, what you are used to. If you expect epicure meals or similar taste as home-cooked food, then you will be definitely disappointed.
- You have to pay rupees 80 for an unlimited buffet and the quality of the food, in that case, will be quite different. However, you will not be disappointed at all with the food variety.
- Moreover, there are generally four mess boys; two out of them serve North Indian Food, and the rest two serve South Indian Dishes.
- Each of these messes is operated by altered cooking companies.
Therefore, students choose to select the mess they will dine at; so that the caterer can make tasty and good quantity food for them, as there is a competition.
How is hostel life at NIT Jamshedpur?
NIT Jamshedpur is a premier technical institution in India, offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various engineering and technology fields. The institute has a residential campus, and all students are required to stay in the hostels provided by the institute.
Here are some aspects of hostel life at NIT Jamshedpur:
- Accommodation: The institute has separate hostels for male and female students, each equipped with basic amenities such as beds, tables, chairs, cupboards, and fans. The hostel rooms are allotted on a sharing basis, with two or three students per room.

How is the hostel and mess food at NIT Raipur?
The hostel facilities of NIT Raipur are good. The hostel rooms are two-seater and 3-seater. Hostels - A, B, D, and F for first-year students. Hostel E and G are for first-year girls. A and B are specious. D and F are a little congested in comparison. The institute provides all the basic facilities.
Mess food is decent. Mostly north-Indian food is provided. Everyone gets used to the mess food after a while.
Which is the best hostel in NIT Trichy for first year students of this year?
According to my friends studying at NIT Trichy, there are a total of five hostels for the first year students at NIT Trichy. They include: Diamond, Agate, Coral, Jade and Opal.
- Diamond, Agate, Coral and Jade hostels are for boys and Opal hostel is for the girls.
- As the girls do not have any option in terms of hostel, therefore there will not be any question for the best hostel.
- Speaking of boy’s hostels, All the first year student hostels are equally good.
- If there is a parameter of distance, then Coral and Agate hostels are the closest to the Lecture halls where the classes of first year are usually conducted.
- Diamond hostels can be considered best for the Wifi speed.
- All the hostels have relatively good internet speed.
It does not matter whichever hostel the candidate chooses as they all are equally good and the candidates will be enjoying their campus life.
Are there any single occupancy hostel rooms in NLU Delhi for the LLB hons students?
One of my friends graduated from NLU Delhi and also after checking the reviews online, I can share these details about the hostels, which might be useful for you.
- There are no single occupancy hostel rooms provided in NLU Delhi for the LLB Hons. students.
- Students studying in NLU Delhi definitely won’t be provided any single occupancy hostel rooms for the first year.
- But there are a few rooms available in the hostel that the management can allow you to use as a single occupancy hostel room, only if they are not occupied already.
Do keep in mind that a single occupancy hostel room here, only means a bed, a table and chair, a wardrobe, and electrical plug points and implements. No separate bathroom or anything of the sort is facilitated.
