There are several notable alumni of the Institute of Technology, Nirma University. Be that as it may, the university is quite a bit young, so there are not many students who are hugely successful in their careers. Below are some of the notable alumni of the institute.

You might not have heard much about these people on campus, but these people were an inspiration for their juniors and people looked up to them for their valuable advice.

• Aruna Jayanthi: Aruna Jayanthi is the managing director for the Asia Pacific and Latin America business unit in Capgemini and she is also a group executive committee member. 
• Arijit Sarkar: Arijit Sarkar is the director of global campaigns on Google. 
• Kaku Nakhate: Kaku Nakhate is the president and country head, India, Bank of America. 
• Raghu Iyer: Raghu Iyer is the CEO of the IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals, and he has been with RR since 2007.

IIM Bangalore has always been a pretty good place for nurturing entrepreneurial ideas and has consistently encouraged the values and culture of entrepreneurship. Some of the most popular Startups which were launched by IIM Bangalore alumni are as follows.

1. Urban Ladder: It was established by Ashish Goel and Rajiv Srivatsa in 2012 and was introduced as an online marketplace (E-commerce store) to buy and sell furniture and home decor products. The startup is responsible for the delivery and installation of all the products which it offers on its website.
2. Delhivery:This Startup was co-founded by Sahil Barua in the year 2011. It is a third-party logistics delivery company with a Pan-India delivery network supported by in-house fulfillment services and transportation management systems, customer analytics, geocoding, and route optimization.
3. Zoojoo.be:This startup was launched in the year 2012 by Avinash Saurabh. It is a social wellness platform based on Games that aims to unite the workforce of organizations to build up healthier habits.
4. Pikkol: It was co-founded in 2015 by Deepu Chandran. It acts as a relocation services aggregator and a logistics firm based upon technology-centric innovations and ideas. The Startup aims to create a technological, analytical, and operational structure to ease all of the relocation requirements of clients in the potential marketplaces.
5. ReportBee: It was co-founded by Anantharaman Maniin 2010. The startup aims to offer smart report card systems to schools by data collection and then providing an accurate presentation of the findings in an easy to interpret format for quicker and better comprehension of the data and improved decision making.

One of my friends is an NIT Trichy alumnus. Here is his take on what it’s like to be an NIT Trichy alumnus. 

• In India NIT Trichy is well-reputed. It is known by everyone in the engineering industry. Having the NIT Trichy tag will definitely bring you respect and admiration from your colleagues. 
• NIT Trichy boasts of its CSE infrastructure. Those who make the most out of it, do great things in their career. 
• In the US and UK, reputed companies look at your education and NIT has a good reputation among recruiting companies. 
• NIT Trichy has a vast alumni network. There are NIT Trichy alumni chapters in different parts of the US, UK, and India. 

The brand value of NIT Trichy offers certain advantages. When my friend joined his first company, the IIT and NIT pass-outs were put in the best projects.

Sudhir Vasudeva, the former chairman & managing director at ONGC is one of the notable alumni from NIT Raipur. He pursued his B.E. in Chemical engineering at NIT Raipur from 1971 to 1975 and was also a gold medalist.

• As of now, he is the Chairperson of the Board of Directors at NIT Raipur. Mr. Vasudeva is also chairman of ONGC Videsh Limited. This company is operating in over 16 countries. 
• Furthermore, he is the President of the Global Compact Network. He is also the first business leader to be a Member of the Board of the United Nations Global Compact from India’s public sector enterprises.
• He has also been awarded a Distinguished fellowship of Institute of Directors, IIChe – Honorary Fellowship of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, CEPM, and PMA fellowship for excellence in Project management, etc.
• He has won multiple awards and is recently working on heading a Perspective plan 2030 to ensure that ONGC’s leadership remains at the top position in the coming few years. 
• Mr. Vasudeva is also a sports enthusiast and is the President of the All India Public sector Sports Promotion Club. 
• He has won a number of accolades and awards given by top companies like NDTC, Gujarat Industries Ltd., SCOPE excellence award, and much more.

He is quite the achiever and definitely one of the shining stars of NIT Raipur.

There are several alumni of NIT Calicut who have contributed a lot towards the development and upliftment of NIT Calicut and its students. One of them is Mr. Prakash Shetty, the founder and Managing Director of Gasotech India Ltd. 

• The company Gasotech Consultancy and Marketing Services was established back in 2005 by Mr. Prakash Shetty, who already had experience in Rotating Machinery for over 20 years in M/S Engineers India Ltd (EIL).
• Mr. Prakash Shetty is very much involved in spreading modern technical awareness in the institute. He supports the institute a lot in the technical and cultural fests, namely Tathva and Ragam.
• He has funded several teams from the institute in various projects and works, through sponsorship. There was an instance in 2012 when a team called TUW faced a shortage of funds in an off-road vehicle designing and manufacturing competition. One of my friends was on that team. Mr. Shetty came forward and supported the team monetarily.
• He has funded several teams in various technical events and competitions that have helped students gain experience for their career paths.

To conclude, the monetary and technical aid from Mr. Prakash Shetty is great support for the students of NIT Calicut and is in a way a great help in critical circumstances to many deserving students.
