The eligibility for the course is to pass the higher secondary education with 50% of marks in biology, physics, and chmeistry. The application form for the admission process can be found on the college website. Recently the admission process has been taken over by LBS institutes across Kerala. OBC candidates can avail reservation on submission of non-creamy layer certificate

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose the course as I wanted to be a rehabilitation professional. The national institute of speech and hearing provides a team of faculty who is excellent in the field. The institute has a faculty-student ratio of about 1:4. The faculty is well qualified for the conduct of the course

Internships Opportunities :

The course has a compulsory internship of 10 months which needs to be completed by every student admitted to the course after 3 yrs of theory classes. Students are provided with a stipend during the internship period.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure in NISH is the fee structure instructed by the Government of Kerala for the course mentioned. Students can apply for scholarships provided by the Government of India through the National Scholarship portal

Campus Life :

NISH provides a good campus life for all students. The institute conducts arts fest and sports fest yearly by collaborating with all the departments. NISH is an integrated campus with both students with normal hearing and those with hearing impairment. The annual day of the institute, the NISH day is conducted in October of every year

Course Curriculum Overview:

Bachelor of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology is a professional course which makes students capable of providing rehabilitation services to individuals with communication difficulties and hearing impairment. The faculty at the National Institute of Speech and Hearing is excellent. The institute has a faculty-student ratio of about 1:4. All of the faculties are well qualified in the field with either master's in audiology and speech-language pathology or a PhD in the core area. The exams are conducted by the University of Health Sciences on a semester basis and the difficulty level of the exams will be hard.
