Remarks :

You must be a 12th pass for seeking admission to RGGEC. The admission is based on hpcet. The application forms are available at www.himtu.ac.in website. And anyone who applies gets admission irrespective of their scores in hpcet. So all the best for the journey ahead. Overall if u are capable of yourself getting a job then this college is for you.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is designed smartly. In the first year, all branches have the same subjects then after in 2nd year the students move towards their respective courses and get detailed knowledge of that. The faculties are mixed some are good some are average and a few are good. The faculty and student ratio is 1:50. The faculties are well qualified for the commission exam one of the toughest in Himachal Pradesh. The teaching method of some faculties is excellent while some are average there is a mixed response. The term exams took place timely, there are 2 mid-semester exams and 1 end-semester exam called as final. They are not that difficult to pass you just have to do some practice and analyze some PYQs

Internships Opportunities :

The internship opportunities are there but very less. Only about 20% got the chance to get an internship. Moreover, there is no paid internship provided. And internship process on on-campus Is for 3rd and 4th-year students only. So don't expect much from the sides of the internship through this college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees are not that high it is 35000 per semester. And overall some stationary expenses's it. Some scholarships are also provided such as the Pragati scholarship and more. But that is purely on a merit basis, which delivers about 10,000 per year. So far I haven't heard of someone getting a paid internship. So that you have to arrange of your own.

Campus Life :

Campus life Is good. You have so many places to chill and have fun. There is a fresher's party called AAGAZ and there is a fest also at the HPTU campus (only on the main campus) the fest is approximately conducted from November- December. The library is not that big at today's time but yes it is getting better day by day but books are very limited. Sports clubs are there in every branch like cricket, badminton, football, chess and a few more depending upon the students. There is no social group, clubs, or websites for students run by students.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility is amazing but available only for 1st-year boys and 1st and 2and year girls. There is a mess, a volleyball court, a badminton court, and some more space to do your stuff in a hostel with a common room that has a TV fitted in it. Meal quality is good and the menu is also up to the mark, the students can also change the menu according to their need but there is only Veg food available Hostel fees are about 7500 per semester (except mess bill i.e. about 84 per day). The registration process is done only at the time of taking admission through the campus office only. PGs are available nearby the colleges there are many such PGs and personal rooms for rent nearby the campus.

Placement Experience:

If you are good enough then you could get a decent good offer. A lot of students are placed above the 10 lac bracket while the average package is 7.5 lac and the highest package is off 44lac. While approximately there is 90 percent of students placed.

From the 7th semester, you are eligible for campus placement. It can even be before that it just depends on your knowledge. Maximum students got placed and had an average package of 5-6 lakh. Basically, according to chinkara, it's 100% placement. but you have to do your best.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of my interest in electronics and communication. There is a total of 60-65 students in my class. The all teachers are well experienced and well qualified. They are very helpful. The semester exam is conducted at the end of the semester by HPTU and the exam is neither very hard nor very easy.

Good enough univesity

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year, students can be sat for the campus placement with a specific cgpa. The requirement of the cgpa is usually above 8.5. The highest package given was 55 lakh till the date and the 32 lakhs were the highest packages in the last year The highest package was given by Amazon and other companies are Infosys Wipro TCS.

Hard Work Pays off

Placement Experience:

From the 5th semester, you can start getting placed. Around 100+ companies visit our campus, such as Amazon, Wipro, etc, and offers are also around 30 lakhs. The highest package was around 44 lakhs, with an average of around 18-21 lakhs. We have a 100% placement in top branches and around. 90% placements overall. Maybe would prefer higher studies as my branch is civil.
