Remarks :

The admission process was similar to most other colleges. We had to first fill out the main university form and apply for 5 colleges then individually fill out each college form. All the forms and information regarding the fees and process was available online on the college websites.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose BSC in IT since I was very interested to understand how software's are build and how it functions. There are 3 labs, one pc for each student in each class. there was 1 teach per subject every year and are quite qualified. The exams were held every 2- months 2 terminal exams and 2 unit exams along with practical's exams, the difficulty of the exams is medium.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship opportunities were provided by the college but due to Covid it was canceled in 2020 and since then no internship opportunities were provided by the college. the internship was for a web developer where the stipend was 500 every week after 6 weeks of training.

Placement Experience :

Teachers inform students regarding all the placements happening on campus as well as off-campus. Students in the 5th and 6th semesters are eligible for campus placements. big Mnc-like cognizant came in 2022 for campus placement. The average package of students is 3LPA with many students going for higher students but the placement percentage is very high.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees for BSc IT is around 23k to 25k per year, there are other scholarships and financial assistances for the student of economically weaker students. I got places in cognizant with a package of 2.52 lakh per year.

Campus Life :

There are multiple fests conducted at Wilson college the most popular is held by the whole college. Backlash is another fest that is conducted by SFC students every year along with the annual fest we have various clubs like code lab clubs, game clubs, etc. which hold games, events, and webinars now and then. The Library is open for students to study all the books journals and competitive books also. Along with these, there are multiple sports competitions held as well as volunteering work for hope, terry fox run, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was interested in IT technology which is why I pursued this course. The faculty here is really good and it is very easy to connect to teachers for better understanding. We have smartboards installed in each class which is of great help because the teacher can easily browse anything online and show it to us so that it becomes easier to understand. Internal exams occur mostly one and a half months after the semester starts and the duration of one semester is approx 3.5 months.

I was fond of computers as well as coding so, I went on with Bachelor's in Science in Information Technology. We had 6 semesters of 4-5 months each in a span of 3 years. For each semester we have 5 subjects. so we had 5 different faculty for each subject. Most of the faculty had done their masters in the same course namely Master in Science IT.

The teachers in our department are really good. They treat us as our own children and teach every topic with next-level enthusiasm. A lot of research facilities are also provided by the college and our department. They take exams in the sem system every time. Enjoy the college life

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I would like to pursue a career in forensic science. To pursue that I preferred microbiology as my subject. ( as it's a biology subject ) and I will be eligible for msc forensic science. The faculty and student ratio goes well. It's not about exams being difficult but you need to study from the beginning. Then everything goes in hand.

Students become eligible from 2nd year to participate in drives. There are many offers made by companies visited like Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Atos Syntel, Capgemini, and LTI Mindtree. The highest is 5LPA and the lowest is 1.8LPA for roles like OE, Associate trainee, programmer trainee, graduate trainee, and Senior developer. 15-20% of students are getting placed I have got selected by Infosys as OE and serving the company for 1 year for 2.2LPA.
