Remarks :

The admission process for Masters's is purely based on marks. A graduate in Zoology with a pass percentage of 50% is eligible for the MSc course. The higher the percentage, the more the possibility to get a seat in the college. Every detail regarding the application form, application fees, and application dates is updated on the website of the college. You can also find the course fee of each stream from a google search. Apart from merit seats, there are reserved seats for General, OBC, OEC, etc. The overall admission process is well organized and satisfactory.

Course Curriculum Overview :

As the college is offering Msc. Zoology with a specialization in Medical Microbiology, the students get an opportunity to specialize in the field of Microbiology. The class strength is around 30-35 with a ratio of 1:8 for faculty: student. Faculty members are extremely qualified with Ph.D., MPhil, or Masters in the field of Biology. They are highly supportive of both in-class activities as well as extracurricular events. Term or Semester exams are conducted on fixed dates. Though the syllabus is vast, students who follow the class lectures will find it not so difficult to pass the exams.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship opportunities are given by both public and private firms in and outside Kerala. Students will get a chance to train themselves in their preferred field with a fair monthly stipend. The works or projects can be both internal as well as external or fieldwork. Certificates of project completion are also given by some companies.

Placement Experience :

Students with eligible qualifications are given opportunities to attend various job fairs and campus placements conducted in the college. The opportunity is usually given to students in their final year or semester. Various national as well as international companies offer interesting jobs with exciting salaries. Salaries can range from 10000- lakhs based on the posts offered. If students are looking for higher studies after post-graduation, they can opt for Ph.D., MPhil, BEd, etc.

Selected, deserving students are provided with Post Metric Scholarship and grants from the Government. There are also Single Girl Child Scholarships, OBC Grants, OEC Grants, E-grants, etc. Qualified students are also given opportunities for research and part-time jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Chemistry faculty in my college was so good and very capable. They take care of all the students individually. Especially when it comes to Laboratory classes, the teachers along with the lab assistants were always available and very supportive. I choose Chemistry because I love Laboratory experiments and Chemicals. And my interest was piqued after joining the college. That's Why I did a Master's in Chemistry too. For 40 students there were 10 teachers including 2 tutors and 4 lab assistants for our batch. All of our teachers were Ph.D. holders and University toppers. We're provided with a detailed Curriculum and a list of textbooks for reference. We make our notes with the help of teachers after every lecture, they help us to make notes and clear our doubts. We were in a semester batch. And had exams every 6 months. The questions were out of the syllabus and often difficult to get a high score. You need 1.5/4 to pass.
