Remarks :
I took admission through the CMAT exam. The cut-off for the same was the 90 percentile. The admission process was very fair. It included two rounds. The First was a critical reasoning test and the second was a personal interview round. Though I didn't get any reservation benefits because I belong to the general category but there are opportunities for other candidates. One can find all the details regarding admission on the institute's official website and also on various YouTube channels. The eligibility is a minimum of three years of graduation from a recognized university followed by the accepted exams.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum at IMT Hyderabad is good. Students are provided the right amount to study on their own also. We have exams almost every month and tests almost every week. The institute emphasizes peer learning as well. Many of the projects and assignments are done in groups. The faculties are very helpful, one can approach them at any point in time even with the slightest doubts. We also have a lot of practitioner sessions and also many lectures by the visiting faculty.
Internships Opportunities :
When you are in your first year approximately from October the companies start coming to the campus for summer internships. They provide a lot of roles in different domains but mostly marketing roles are provided with good stipends in different locations.
Placement Experience :
Placements are very much emphasized. As soon as you complete your summer internship, companies start visiting the campus for recruitment. There's the possibility that one might be in the middle of their second year and already placed with a good package.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The ROI at IMT Hyderabad is one of the bests. The institute also provides numerous scholarships like a 40% tuition fee waiver to students who scored 90 percentile and above in CAT, XAT, and GMAT and 20% to all girl candidates after registration. The placements are also really good here, a lot of companies visit the campus for various job roles.
Campus Life :
Social life at IMT is very happening. You'll find yourself very engaged in the tasks provided by your respective clubs and committees. There are clubs for everything from academics to co-curricular activities.
Hostel Facilities :
As it's a residential program so the hostel is compulsory. There's a certain kind of ease of living here. All the facilities are provided except transportation. The meal quality is pretty good. You can find every type of meal in the mess. We also have a cafeteria if one doesn't want to eat in the mess.
Interview Experience :
Due to Covid my process was held online and because of the same there was a critical reasoning test instead of group discussion followed by a personal interview round. Both these rounds take place when you've cleared the cut off for any of the accepted exams.
