IMT Ghaziabad - the best of MBA life

Remarks :

It was online and smooth. The application form was around 1000 rs. There is no reservation quota it is merit-based. The admission committee has been working towards reducing the glitches and gaps in the admission process. We had to fill out a lengthy form as IMT looks beyond marks. They want people with diverse backgrounds and a will to study. The questions asked were partly Technical that is because of my background in finance. Also, the interviewers were friendly and made me feel comfortable. All in all, it was a memorable process

Course Curriculum Overview :

IMT is known for its finance faculty. We have great professors like Prof. Harsimran Sandhu and Prof. Arit Chaudhary who bring out the best in the students . I have been very lucky to be exposed to professors who have been a delight to study under. The professors are industry professionals from companies like HSBC, Zydus, Standard Chartered, HUL . Most of our professors are PhDs and those who aren't are from the Industry. There are 6 terms. It is not hard to pass but needs a lot of hard work. I got more than 9 GPA in the 1st term but I had to pull all-nighters. It depends on the person and what they prioritize. People who are very active in their clubs also get great jobs and can get better packages than high rankers. It all depends on how we carry ourselves and how much we wish to learn. IMT helps you grow as an Individual.

Internships Opportunities :

Internships can be tricky to get but eventually, everyone gets one. Projects range from financial analysis to consulting, risk analysis, project valuation, and equity analysis. Companies like HSBC HDFC SBI caps any melon visit here.

Placement Experience :

This year our seniors had amazing placements in finance. We had major companies coming in like a bank of America, and Barclays. All students got placed. The highest packages can go up to 25-30 lakhs ( especially in marketing) and the lowest packages are around 12-13 lakhs. My plan is to work in finance and ultimately I see myself getting into equity research after a couple of years. A lot of our alum are also involved in this field of work. We are even starting an alum mentorship program which is possible because of the 40-year legacy we have.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees include hostel, mess, and tuition fees. The top percentile gets a scholarship at the end of the year. All girls get special scholarship details which are on the website. Fees are justified for the kind of facilities. There is a great library with Bloomberg installed. We also have sports facilities which get renovated regularly. We have a Nescafe which is open 20 hrs a day. Even the library is open until 4 am and closes only for 2 hrs

Campus Life :

Life on campus is vibrant. There is something happening every single day. From case competitions to movie nights. From the best sports event to the best annual fest. We have everything. Chakravyuh is the biggest and fanciest sports fest among B-Schools and we host it with great pride. Our classrooms are wide and we have great interactions because of the way our rooms are placed. All clubs/committes are run by students. Be it clubs like finnese , markup , student council , cultural committe... Everything is run by students and supported extensively by the administration. We even have an admission and academic committe.

Hostel Facilities :

We have an AC in the room. We need to share a room with another person but it's comfortable. There is a common washroom which can be a hassle but it's fine. We can't rent a Pg as this is a fully residential program. Meals are good as most mess meals are. We get 3 meals and one snack in the evening. The breakfast is great. We get milk and cornflakes during breakfast if we don't wish to eat the meal

Interview Experience :

IMT has 2 ways in which they judge a candidate. One is via the CAT/XAT/GMAT score and the other is via exceptional work experience. Also, people with exceptional backgrounds like having played a sport at the national/ international level are admitted on a special basis. The interview revolves around our background and how we plan to shape our future. The focus is on communication and how willing are we to learn.

Placement Experience:

A placement year can give students inspiration for final-year projects and dissertations. It can also help develop your soft skills, such as being able to work in a team and the ability to solve complex problems, which are all valuable assets for both your academic and professional career, as Jasmine experienced.

Placement Experience:

Here You can get a placement as a Senior lecturer, Reader, or HOD on the basis of your qualifications and experience. And salary is also on the basis of their position. Placement here is good one can go for it. But if u want to explore more and want to learn more then surely you should go to other places too and explore them too. If u want to work in your own clinic then you shouldn't work at any institute.
