Life At WCTM Gurgaon

Remarks :

The admission process was easy as all the information was available online. I contacted the college admission cell directly as suggested by a known of mine. Eligibility for the course was Senior secondary education with a good percentage. Every minute detail about application forms, application fees, application dates and eligibility criteria was available on the official website of the college. Though I was a general category student and I didn't opt for Reservation seats, still all the details about reserved seats and the availing process was given on the website itself. The admission process was easy and I couldn't find a way to get it better.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum was good enough to give a better understanding of many machine languages and computer hardware. I chose Computer science as it was my area of interest for a long. I wanted to make my passion my profession. The faculty-student ratio is also adequate. It would be like 1:30 to be precise. Most of the faculty are PhD Doctors while a few are Master's graduates too. It was a semester system course hence term exams were held every six months. As the faculties give their best so clearing exams was not that tough if one gives little concentration in classes.

Internships Opportunities :

Several Companies like HCL, Airtel, TCS, and Tata Telecom are in collaboration with the college to give internships to students. They make interns a part of their team for ongoing real-time projects. An adequate stipend is also provided by these companies for our work. Overall that is a very good experience for a student and we get a lot to learn from them.

Placement Experience :

Campus Placement is also good by ratio. Several good reputed companies and MNCs come every year to hire employees. Campus placement is close to a hundred per cent. All the final-year students are eligible for campus placements and opt for too. The average package is around 6 Lacs per annum which is not bad for a fresher. HCL, Airtel, Mother Dairy, TCS, and IBM are a few companies which usually come for campus placements.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is simple. It's almost 65000 a year. You can submit the fee in two parts too. Fees never hiked during my tenure and it is worth it as the faculties really work hard to clear your smallest doubts. I didn't apply for any scholarship but yes several reputed companies and MNCs come to recruit every year. On on-campus placement, the ratio is also good.

Campus Life :

The college has a huge campus with playgrounds for different sports. Many outdoor and indoor games are facilitated. They arrange for an inter-college cricket tournament every year on the college campus only. The library is good holding all curriculum and other research books. The college annual fest is also very happening, they usually call a good singer or performer from outside.

Interview Experience :

It was really a very simple process to take admission here. No written test, interview or Group Discussion was there. All you need to do is submit 500 INR online or offline for registration, fill a form, enquire about courses and fee structure and submit fees.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I am very fond of computers and mobile devices since my childhood and want to learn the work behind these smart gadgets. Overall faculty students ratio is good it is approximately 1:40. Most of the teachers are M.tech qualified from prestigious universities like Jamia and Aligarh and some PhD holders as well. As far as teaching is concerned, the overall methodology is good and don't expect some game changing scenarios. Most of the time, term exams happen in timely manner. Due to covid there was some sort of irregularities but now it is all good right now. Passing exams is not that much challenging if you have basic understanding of concepts and ability to apply them. Most of questions comes from previous year papers.

From the 5th semester or 3rd year of Btech, students become eligible for campus placements, and companies like IBM and Samatrix visit the campus for internships and job offers. The highest package was 36 lacs and 100% training and placement. Applying to different companies privately is also an option.
