Remarks :

I got my admission through JEE Mains in 2022. The eligibility criteria for B.Tech admission to NIT Raipur are as follows: - Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subjects. - Candidates must have scored a minimum of 75% marks (65% for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the 10+2 examination or must be in the top 20 percentile in the 10+2 examination conducted by the respective boards. - Candidates must have qualified JEE Main exam and obtained a valid scorecard. - Candidates should be Indian nationals. - There is no age limit to apply for B.Tech admission in NIT Raipur. The application form is released every year and the fee for General Male candidates is Rs. 1000. Different fees for different castes and Female gender exists. An improvement in the admission process can be done by making the offline admission process more smooth.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is modern and fit for current standard industrial applications. Faculty to Student Ratio ideally remains around 1:25 in classes and 1:15 in Labs. The faculties here are all Doctorates and knowledgeable in their respective fields. They have a ton of working experience and have several research papers on their name. The midterm exams went well for me and they were easy enough if enough attention was given in classes and assignments were completed on time.

Placement Experience :

Many top companies visit the campus every year to recruit students for various positions. The placement process at NIT Raipur is managed by the institute's Placement Cell, which conducts Placement Drives, pre-placement talks, and sessions. In general, students become eligible for campus placements from the seventh semester of their B.Tech program, which means that they can participate in the placement process from the beginning of their final year. Several large and recognized companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, Samsung, Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, Reliance, ONGC, BHEL, etc. recruited the students for placements, and in the year 2021-22, a total of 738 offers were made.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees structure is perfectly designed keeping in mind the affordability for a student. There are several scholarships and financial assistances provided to those who are in need. Students who have an an annual income below a certain amount are given several assistances. The total cost for a General Candidate to study the BTech Programme at NIT Raipur is around 8-9 Lakhs for 4 years, including the Tuition and Hostel Fees. The cost for SC/ST/EWS Candidates is below that

Campus Life :

The campus life at NIT Raipur is very fresh and full of opportunities. Many competitions, tournaments, and events are hosted regularly to provide all-around development to the students. Several Fests occur over the year as follows: Annual Cultural Fest - Eclectika (February), Technical Fest - Aavartan (February), Sports Fest - Samar (January), Musical Fest - Shruti (November), Entrepreneurship Fest - E-Summit (December). Apart from this, the library here boasts a large collection of books pertaining to the field of Engineering. Several books for GATE Exam are also there to help the GATE Aspirants make the best out of their preparation. There is no shortage of extracurricular activities. Several fun activities take place all around the year. Many social groups and Clubs exist that help organize the events. Some of them are: Raaga (Music Club), Nrityam (Dance Club), Abhinay (Drama Club). Interact Club (Quizzing Club), Sahyog Club (Mentorship and Assistance Club)

Hostel Facilities :

There are 4 Boys Hostels for the 1st Year Students: Chitrakot - (96 Students), Kotumsar - (113 Students), Mainpat - (96 Students), Mallhar - (110 Students), 1 Hostel for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students: Sirpur - (765 Students). For Girls, there are two Hostels: Mahanadi - 1st Year Indrawati - 2nd, 3rd, 4th Year. The accommodation facilities are really good. The size of the room is sufficient enough and basic amenities such as a cupboard, fans, lights, balcony is taken care of. The bathrooms are clean and well-equipped with modern tap fittings, geysers, toilets, and all other stuff. The cleanliness is always well-maintained.

My Life at college

Course Curriculum Overview:

Because of my interest in the subject and college facilities I choose this course. There is a student-faculty ratio of 55 students per teacher. Qualifications are not told to students so can't say anything about it. Monthly exams are conducted.

NIT RAPIUR - its not what you expect

Placement Experience:

7th semester. infosys, adobe, and Wipro are some of the leading companies that have visited and total of 649 offers were made in 2022. 57.5 lacs was the highest package offered in the IT branch in 2022. about 65% of students on average get placed in nit raipur every year. doing the job for about 2-3 years I plan on focusing on my skills in music and other things.

Placement Experience:

The place is a quite interesting highest package of 2cr has been garabed in meta by its student And my branch 21 student got 16 lpa and 2 got 55lpa, and students get placed in PSU through the gate. Our seniors secured good ranks in gates like air 6, and 9 in my mining branch.

Honestly, I didn't choose the course, the course chose me. The student ratio is overall good for this course. All the faculties are qualified and they have their teaching ways that help the student to improve. The exams are always held timely and some subjects are easy to pass but some subjects are hard.

Placement Experience:

Our college has an excellent placement record(100%) all interested students were placed in top companies and some students went for higher studies(MS, BMA, M-tech, etc) to International Universities. NIT Raipur - From my eye

Placement Experience:

NIT Raipur provides wonderful placement and internship opportunities for its students. There are major placements for CSE and IT stream students. Companies like ADOBE, AMAZON, VISA, Deutsche Bank, OPTUM, ORACLE, Arcesium, DE-Shaw, Deolite, TCS, Accenture, and many others visit for both internship and placement opportunities. There is around 95% placement from CSE, IT, and Electronics streams having the highest package of around 55 lakhs and an average of around 18 lakhs. While the other branches also contribute well and stand with an average package of around 10 lakhs.

A Glimpse at NIT Raipur

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college are average and they offer good placement opportunities. The main placements are offered by tech companies. so you will have to be good in coding and programming to grab the placement. The core companies of other branches other than CS and IT come so less, so they also have to participate in the placement of tech companies. This year the highest package offered was 57 lacs to three students of the college and the lowest being 6lacs. Around 65-80 companies came for the campus placement.
