Remarks :
Eligibility for the course is through two exam results that I've done after completing the 12th that is 1)GUJCET 2)JEE I got very fewer marks in both exams but still civil seats are empty there so I got admission in the third round conducted by University. I find the application form for the university by visiting there as well as Gujarat Government issued choice filling admission process so there I choose this university in the first place. The admission process was really fair and easy to understand so I like the admission process conducted by the university and I'm happy with that.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course because I wanted to be in the construction business and also I didn't get petroleum stream due to fewer marks so I've only one option left that's why I choose civil. Faculty to students ratio was about 1:20 so that's really great and worth its fees. The qualification of the faculty was not extraordinary but overall faculty was nice. Term exams were conducted every three months and it was really hard to pass. We had to study a lot otherwise many peoples failed in more than two subjects including me.
Internships Opportunities :
Mainly two companies offer internship program here as petroleum and energy course is not available anywhere except 2-3 institutes so every peoples got internship as it's mandatory for placements and companies like ONGC and Reliance Provides internship for students. Futuristic projects are given to interns basically for learning so companies can find out special expertise of the students in handling them and by doing so companies got them placement offers so overall careerwise this is one of the best institute out there.
Placement Experience :
From 6 to 8th-semester students are eligible for campus placements and by campus placement offered this is one of the best universities in India. Many companies visit there such as ONGC, RELIANCE, NTPC, POWER GRID, LARSEN TURBO, etc. Many peoples came here from Wealthy backgrounds so they opt out of campus placement the ratio is around 60% of students who got jobs so that's really excellent comparing others. My plan after getting my degree is to build a construction business of my own after some time working with the family business so I think this institute gave me a lot of information regarding my career.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
First semester fees in university were 126500/- for studying only. And only 2-3 peoples got scholarship out of full batch of 100+ so it's really expensive to study here. Peoples who got good marks in the GUJCET exam are eligible to pursue an entire course for free but there are lots of companies visiting there to provide campus placement there so I think its fees are worth it. In petroleum engineering, the course placement ratio was 100% with a really attractive package but in other streams, I would say around 80% of campus placement was offered by companies. I didn't apply for campus placement so I didn't get any jobs there because I wanted to pursue my career in the construction business.
Campus Life :
There are many extracurricular activities there so every week there's something outside of teaching makes college life really fun.I was in the music club so I enjoyed that time a lot. Every possible book that we need including outside of teaching is available at the library with very minimal fees of 1000 per semester. There's central AC in each of the classrooms as well as a high-tech big projector and very comfy seats there so I would like to say movie theatre type experience classroom. Everything has its separate clubs there such as music, theatre, sports, art, and computer everything was conducted really well through each club as well as lots of exhibitions done every month. There's every club that has its Instagram page you can find by username pdpe music, pdpe art, etc. that are completely run by students.
