Remarks :
Admissions here depend on your JEE score and are done under UPSEE counselling. After your seat is finalised you will be called to college to submit the required documents and fees. Cutoff ranges from almost 36000(Round 4 CSE(General)) to almost 102000(Round 4 Chemical (General)).
Course Curriculum Overview :
In the first year, the course is the same for all branches. After that, branch-specific subjects become the major part of the curriculum. Faculty is 'okish' in some cases and bad in most cases. Good faculty is as rare as water on pluto. Faculty are highly educated and have tremendous knowledge of their subjects but don't teach well. There are almost 60-70 students in a class. The plus point is you get a lot of free time because the class schedule is loose and can work on yourself. Each semester has two CTs(class tests) and one end-sem exam for each subject.
Placement Experience :
Campus placements are decent for the CSE branch. I have seen other branch students preparing for GATE after the first year generally. Placements for core branches are poor. The highest on-campus offer made was by Titan for 45 lpa last year and the lowest offers go to 2-3 lpa. You can also go for off-campus placements. Personally, being a CS student I am going for a job after my degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure depends on the course branch you opt for. For self-financed branches (CSE(SF) and CSE(AI) ) it is 15000 more than other branches. Course Fee is almost 85000 for the non-self-financed branches. The scholarship is applicable here depending on the income certificate of the guardian.
Campus Life :
Social life is way better than in other colleges. There are cultural and technical clubs here which play extremely important roles in your character development. The college has a music club, dance club, fine arts club, literature club, social service club etc. and coding club, robotics club, astronomy club etc. Joining a club can literally change your life here. Fests are held branch wise and combined both ways. Generally two or three fests yearly. There are two libraries one offline and the other digital.
