Vignan University offers Ph.D. programmes in Engineering & Science with 12 streams to choose. Application form can be submitted through both online and offline mode.

Candidate can register themselves by filling the application form and application fee i.e. INR 1000/-.

Admission is generally given in the month of January and July, every year. Admission will be based on merit in the University Entrance exams followed by interview.

GATE/CSIR/NET/CAT qualified candidates are exempted from the written test, but have to appear for Interview.

Vignan University Ph.D Eligibility

  • PG degree in any one of the relevant engineering specializations.
  • Candidates must have scored minimum 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree.
  • Candidate with an interdisciplinary requisite qualification can be considered with department approval.
  • GATE/CSIR/NET/CAT qualified candidates are eligible.

Vignan University Ph.D Admission Process

  • Candidate will go through with written test.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
  • Final merit list will include certain criteria.
CRITERIA WEIGHTAGE % (MAXIMUM)
Graduation Academic Performance 20% marks
Masters' degree 30% marks
Previous experience 1 mark per year up to 5% marks
Publications 2 marks/Journal paper & 1 marks for conference paper (up to 5 % marks)
Interview 25% marks

Reservation is according to the total intake of seats and are not applied to the written test and interview.

  • 15% seats are reserved for SCs.
  • 7.5% is for STs.
  • 27% is reserved for the other backward classes.
