Course Details

IPU MBBS Admission 2024 is open now. The last date to apply is March 31, 2024. Interested candidates can apply online on the official website @ipu.ac.in. The application fee is INR 1500. Admission to the MBBS program at IPU is done on the basis of NEET UG scores followed by centralized counselling. Candidates who have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are eligible for admission. IPU MBBS Eligibility Criteria

The basic eligibility criteria to apply for MBBS at IPU is a 10+2 or equivalent degree in Science stream with PCB (Biology/Biotechnology) and English from a recognized board of education. The candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ST candidates) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology together.

Other eligibility requirements are:

  • Candidates with a valid score in NEET only are eligible to apply for the course.
  • Candidate must be medically fit.
  • Candidates must be a citizen of India or Nepal. Non-Resident Indians are not eligible to apply for admission.
  • The minimum age of the applicants must be 17 years.
  • For BDS, the candidates must have passed their qualifying exams (10+2) conducted by C.B.S.E./ CISCE/JMI, New Delhi with required subjects i.e. PCB and English from a recognized school situated within the Delhi NCR.

IPU MBBS Admission Process

Selection will be done as per the marks secured by the candidate in the NEET examination. NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is a national-level exam conducted by NTA for admission to undergraduate medical and dental colleges.

While registering, a candidate is required to provide their respective NEET exam details. Based on the score and rank in NEET exam, applicants are then called for a counseling session. The University conducts rank-wise counseling, hence it is important for candidates to secure a good rank in NEET exam.

Selected candidates will undergo a medical examination by the medical board. Only those candidates will be admitted who are certified to be medically fit. If a candidate is found to be medically unfit then their selection will be rejected.

IPU MBBS Counselling Process

  • Candidates who clears NEET examination will be called for counseling.
  • Students must bring the original certificates and one set of photocopy duly attested by Gazetted Officer or from Principal.
  • To ensure the candidate’s eligibility the head of the institution will re-examine the original documents.
  • Applicants admitted during the 1st counseling session must report at the college within two working days of admission. 
  • Candidates must bring the following necessary documents at the time of counseling:
  1. Demand draft of the admission fee (original and photocopy)
  2. Admit card or rank card
  3. Health strength document
  4. The original document of class 10th and 12th (2 photocopies)
  5. Call letter of counseling (original and photocopy)
  6. Transfer certificate
  7. Migration certificate
  8. Caste certificate

IPU MBBS Application Process

Medical aspirants must first register and appear for the NEET exam.

To apply for admission at IPU, the candidates must visit the university’s official website.

  • The application form is available online on the university’s admission portal.
  • Select the exam category.
  • The candidates must register and proceed to fill in the general information.
  • Followed by the upload of their scanned photograph, left thumb impression, and signature.
  • Click on “Next” and fill in the academic qualifications.
  • Mention any work experience.
  • Fill in the Captcha and agree to the terms and conditions.
  • Submit the application.
  • Note down the Login id and password.
  • After registering, the candidate must apply for the course.
  • The applicants must provide their NEET registration number.
  • To submit the form, it is necessary to pay INR.1,000/- via credit/debit card or through net banking.

After successfully submitting the form, the candidate must take a printout of the complete application along along with the transaction id for future reference.

IPU MBBS Entrance Exam

NEET UG examination is conducted once every year. This entrance exam is solely conducted for the process of admission into medical courses. The syllabus of the examination consists of subjects such as physics, chemistry, and biology for the entrance examinations. NCERT syllabus is followed for the structure. The examination will be conducted for 3 hours. A total no. of 180 questions is segregated amongst Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

IPU MBBS Reservation

  • One seat for physically handicapped candidates will be filled on the basis of merit from any region.
  • Physically handicapped candidates are required to submit valid disability certificate from the Vocational Rehabilitation Centre
  • Catgeory wise different seats will be reserved for the candidates. There may be changes in the reservation of seats according to the Government of India.

Ques. What is the application mode for taking admission into MBBS and BDS courses at IP University?

Ans. The application mode offered is in the online method. After candidates have written the NEET-UG examination, they may visit the official website and click on the online admissions tab. All personal information must be entered and an application fee must be paid. 

Ques. What entrance examinations are accepted for MBBS and BDS courses at IP University?

This is one of the best institutes to study medicine. Since it is a government college, the faculty is well-qualified PGs, SRs, and HoDs. Interactive-based study methods are commonly used by professors. Exams are held every 2-3 months but these are only internals and the major professional exams are held yearly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It was my childhood dream to become a doctor. And being a doctor always fascinated me, so I chose the MBBS stream. Although it's not very easy definitely it's worth it. The teachers here are well qualified. Almost all of them have pursued their MBBS and even some are MD and MS. Term exams are held every 3 to 4 months.
