How are the placements in NIT Goa CSE? What is the average package?

NIT Goa CSE placements are great. For CSE, the placement average is 100%. The average CTC received by the CSE graduates is INR 7.61 LPA. The highest CTC received was INR 20 LPA. Some of the major recruiters that visited the campus placement are TCS, Samsung, Infosys, L&T Infotech, Wipro, Mindtree, etc.

How is NIT GOA for MTech CSE in terms of placements, faculty and facilities?

One of my friends studied at NIT Goa. According to him, In the recent placement drive of 2021, the students of NIT Goa were offered the highest packages compared to the placement drives of the previous years. One of the students who completed the M.Tech course got a package that offered INR 14.3 LPA. The companies that have made offers to the students this year are Siemens, Goldman Sachs, TCS, Samsung, Mphasis, Samsung, etc. In the department of CSE, out of the 27 eligible students, all 27 of them got placed, making their placement program a complete success. Over 45 companies have visited NIT Goa in 2021 so far; surpassing the tally of the previous three years. If we talk about facilities, the labs have computers that are high end and run on Linux and Windows operating systems. The internet connection provided, leaves no room for complaints. The campus is wifi enabled too. The faculty is helpful and cooperative. Categories M.Tech in CSE at NIT Goa Course Fee 2.01 lakh Highest CTC 8-9 LPA Average CTC 4.2 LPA Recruiting Companies Wipro, Infosys, TCS, IBM, etc. So it is suggested that if you want to opt for M.Tech in CSE from NIT Goa, you may go for it. As not only placements, but they also offer research facilities too. You will be able to publish research papers and work on your thesis and dissertation.

Would you recommended someone to do MTech in VLSI from NIT GOA? What are placement/internship opportunities there for VLSI?

NIT Goa has a good teaching faculty for the VLSI stream. The faculty has done their PhDs from IITs and the campus also has very well-equipped labs so it provides a great learning experience. Here is a brief overview of the NIT Goa. Category NIT Goa Companies Visited Infosys, ZS Associates, Infotech, etc. Highest Package 15.9 lakhs Average CTC 7 lakhs Talking about the placements and internships part, Intel, NXP semiconductors offered a lot of internships in the past and there are still chances of these companies visiting again in the future. If you wish to get admitted for MTech in an NIT, it would be a better option if you opt for older and NITs first. If not, NIT Goa is also a good option.

Is NIT Goa good? What companies come for placement and what salary do they offer?

I will share my experience at NIT Goa after I took admission in M.Tech in VLSI at the institute. Please remember that these will be my thoughts and might differ from person to person. College Campus – NIT Goa currently operates from a temporary campus located at Goa Engineering College in Farmagudi, Goa which is approximately 29 km away from the state capital at Panaji. Since it is a temporary campus, it has limited accommodation facilities and thus M.Tech and Ph.D. pursuing boys are not given any hostel. They have to stay on their own. For food, you can use the hostel mess and college canteens which will cost you around INR 40 – 50 per day. For commuting, you can use the bus service provided by the college completely free of cost. Otherwise, you can definitely keep your own motorcycle or scooter since you are staying outside campus. Academics – There is a separate VLSI lab for M.Tech students which is open for use 24X7. Each M.Tech student is allocated a separate PC with its user ID. The labs have access to all the required software you will ever need to play around with, simulate and verify your ideas. For example Cadence, MATLAB, Mentor, and Xilinx. Placements – In the VLSI domain, many companies such as Intel Corporation, NXP Semiconductor, Global Foundries, and ON Semiconductor visit the campus for summer internships while companies like Sankhya Labs and C-DAC have visited the campus for final placements. The industry tie-ups are increasing and will increase further as more students pass from the institute. The placement data for the year 2020-21 is given below for your reference. NIT Goa has concluded its 2022 placement drive. More than 150 recruiters visited the campus. Some of the top recruiters are Infosys, TATA, Wipro, Samsung, Reliance Jio etc. The participating batch comprised 118 eligible students. Among these students, 103 were placed. The placement percentage was 87.28%.

During NIT Goa Placements 2022, the highest salary stood at INR 44 LPA which is 120% higher as compared to the previous year. The average salary also increased by 72% approximately as compared to the previous year.

Placement Experience:

We have 90% of placement in our college excluding the students who chose higher studies. The average package is 10 LPA, The highest package is 21 LPA and the lowest package is of 5 LPA. Great companies like Samsung, bhel, etc companies come to our college for placements
