What students say about Nirma University - [NU]

Likes

  • I am studying chemical engineering, which is the best choice for chemical or chemistry enthusiasts for enrollment because it offers one of the best study programs in Gujarat and is affiliated with the top university in India.
  • My internship offer lasted for 8 weeks, and I enjoyed that time to the fullest.
  • The placement and job opportunities are really awesome, and the college provides a lot of help when it comes to internships. Students over here get a deserved job; they have affiliations with lots of multinational companies.
  • At Nirma University, the fees for B Tech in CSE are 200000. However, you can avail scholarships based on your merit and your fathers income, which presents a great opportunity at Nirma University.
  • The infrastructure of the university is quite impressive, and the campus life is also awesome.
  • According to me, the hostel facilities of colleges are so good because they are located inside the campus, so there is no question about transportation cost, and the amount is also feasible.
  • In 4 years of study, I have had a great time studying under the college management.

Dislike

  • Placements have improved in non-tech fields, but placement in civil is still low with companies offering a CTC of around 3.5 lakh per annum.
  • College life at Nirma is the worst. There are no dedicated clubs for literature, sports, etc. You cannot hope to learn anything new here. Only if you already know something, you can take part in namesake competitions for sports and other activities.
  • I have not opted for the hostel; it was exclusively for the Management students, MTech students, and Law students. For undergraduate students, there was no facility of hostel, but the average rentals, according to me, were very less

Placement Experience:

Placement scenarios here are quite good compared to other private colleges. We have an average placement of 7lakh overall and 11 lacks in the CSE department. Most of the eligible students get placed during campus placement.

Remarks:

All India admissions are purely merit based on jee percentile while Gujarat Board student has to appear in Gujcet which stands for Gujarat Common Entrance Test. You can apply on their website which is user-friendly and then merit-based admissions are done. The application fee for all Indian candidates is 1400 for a BTech degree. The reservation benefits are available.
