6 months. The difficulty level is normal. It is based on faculty thinking and your relations with the proof and lab assistant. They are especially from MTech and PhD. So, they know your pain. You must have a general talk as well as treat them nicely.
Process and document verification must be online. Along with this, payment must be online. The faculty support is enough. But improvement will be there when the input is from both sides. Admin as well as students.
Students become eligible for campus placement in the 4th year. However, on-campus internships are provided at the end of 3rd year which can provide PPO if a student works dedicatedly and shows interest in the company. Many companies visit the campus for on-campus placement. Some of them are L&T, Reliance, BPCL, MG Motors, Honda, etc. Almost every student appearing for the placement drive is placed. The average package can be ranged between 6-7 LPA. The highest package can go up to 18-20 LPA. I plan to opt for a Masters' degree after the completion of my B.Tech.
I appeared for the JEE mains examination and scored 96.96%ile. I got the benefits of the Home State quota and got admission to Mechanical Engineering Branch. The admission process was smooth and straightforward. The admission team was also very helpful.
Faculties for the electrical department are okay at teaching and they really care about what the students are suffering from. They show their regard if a student is not able to attend any test Or something due to valid reasons.
I did not like that the course did not include any subjects related to robotics. Reservation is way too high in our college, at least 30% of college admissions are reservations. Otherwise, the courses provided are good.
Placement figures are improving every year. If you are from CSE, ECE, or EE branches then you can get an average package of 11-12 LPA. These figures are lower for other branches. Many companies visit for On-campus placements throughout the year like Amazon, Samsung, Paytm, John Deere, BHEL, and other core companies. The highest package is approx. 50LPA. Every year approx. 85-95% get placed in IT branches(CS, ECE, EE) and 50-80% in core branches.
Admission to this College is through JOSSA or CSAB counseling, for this, you have clear JEE mains to apply for all NITs across India. There are 7 rounds of JOSSA counseling and 2 rounds of CSAB counseling, the average cutoff for ECE in svnit for the OBC category is approx. 30000(general rank) in the home State quota.
Students can sit in placement in the 4th year only means the start of final year for computer science Amazon, Samsun, Oracle, for core John Deere Honda TVS reliance Adani Aditya Birla tata advance tata power.
We got admission by clearing an entrance examination called Jee mains after which we fill choices and on the priority of ranking we got college you can get from nta site. The reservation is also available in the college. The only improvement I want to see in the college is, I want to remove the reservation.
Placements in EC and Computer are very good. The average package in the computer branch is around 16 LPA. and in EC is around 13 LPA. the placements ratio in EC is 80-85 %. You can expect a 10 % hike in average salary every year. Companies that visited SVNIT are Microsoft, Synopsys, Infosys, MathWorks, Reliance, TCS, Incref, SanDisk, Oracle, D-Shaw, MasterCard, JPMC, Doutche bank, and many other MNCs that visited this year.
This process is done through the JOSSA application. The applicants are selected based on JEE MAINS entrance exam. For the general category, the cut-off was around 18,000 rank (home state quota applied). For different branches the cut-off is different. The admission process is quite simple.
The students of 3rd year can sit for internships round the year. And 4th year can sit for full time roles. The highest package last year was 49 LPA and average was around 12 LPA. The important companies that visit campus are Amazon, Microsoft, Texas Instruments, NVidia, Cairn Oil and Gas, Reliance, McCain, John Deere, Honda
The student must qualify JEE Mains for admission. The process is well managed by JoSAA. There is home state quota and reservation for OBC SC ST and even girls. There is also a special round if any of the student backout and so better branch can be availed.
There is counselling called JOSAA for the admission process in nits. Students who appeared for the jee mains exams conducted by NTA can register for counselling. There are no application fees for the admission process. You can get lots of benefits if you have reserved a category. The overall Admission process is smooth. According to me, there is not nothing to improve further but yes the category benefits are too much and it's not fair for the deserving general candidates
SPBy - Shreya PatelAdmission in this college is through jossa(Joint Seat Allocation Authority) Counselling. for to eligible for this counselling you should appear in jee mains (joint entrance examination) and score above the cutoff. In 2022 the cutoff is 8s around 90percentile. through jee mains, you are eligible for NITs, and IIITs which is a government college so you will get reservation benefits on the basis of both gender and caste. The admission process is quite smooth and I didn't face such difficulties
SsBy - Stuti singhThe cutoff for admission in the civil branch is about 95 percentile in jee mains for the general category...the entrance exam is fairly difficult and it takes a lot of hard work to clear it...the admission process is very streamlined and efficient. I had encountered no difficulties in my admission process
