- Also, if you do this from any prestigious institute, it will help you in both placements, as well as the teachers here being great.
- For CSE, students may get internships and jobs very easily with companies like Microsoft, Google, and Amazon, with stipends. They may also receive PPOs if they perform exceptionally well during the internship.
- It depends on which branch you get admission in. As I understood, in MTECH in VLSI design, the placement was very good and the faculty was helpful in obtaining internships at reputable companies.
- Firstly, the fees for M.Sc. in IIT Mandi are very reasonable compared to other IITs.
- You get the best weather with hills all around and rivers flowing on one side of the campus.
- The hostel facility is really great, and each member is allotted two-member sharing rooms with a bed, study table, and an almirah for each.
- If anyone were to talk about the best engineering college in India, IIT Mandi would definitely be mentioned as one of them.

Placement Experience:
I am still studying here but I have heard from my seniors about placements So I may be wrong. It seems to be above average. Above 90% of students were placed in this course. The highest may be around 45 LPA and the lowest was 13 lpa while the average goes around 23lpa. Top companies include Oracle, TCS, etc. Regarding internship around 78% of the course strength got into. The top roles offered were as Data Scientists, Data analysts, etc.
Remarks:
Admission to IITs is through an entrance exam called JEE Advanced. The application form for the same can be found online. But Students can apply for this exam only if they have qualified Jee Mains. The exam date is around May. Yes, ranks are also provided on basis of category like I am from OBC, NCL.
Placement Experience:
Students are eligible for campus placements starting from the beginning of their 4th year. However, prior to placements, students must complete their internships, which begin in their 3rd year. During the hiring season, many companies visit IIT Mandi, including major recruiters such as Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, Siemens, Trilogy Innovations (Codenation), Sprinkler, and Google. Other companies, such as Oracle, Uber, Flipkart, Paytm, and Razorpay, also participate in the campus placement program. The highest package offered within India was reported to be INR 62.5 Lakhs, while international packages can reach as high as INR 2 crores. Based on statistics from the previous year, more than 95% of students were placed through on-campus or off-campus placements. After obtaining my degree, I plan to work and support my family financially. After achieving financial stability, I plan to pursue an MBA from an IIM.

Eligibility for pursuing a B. Tech. degree at any Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) required one to have passed their 12th class examination and cleared both the JEE Mains and JEE Advanced exams. The JEE Advanced exam is conducted annually. The registration fees for the exams vary for boys and girls and also vary for different castes. After successfully clearing the JEE Advanced exam, the candidate must apply through the JOSAA portal and pay the necessary fees with the required documents. Reservation benefits are available for different castes and genders, as well as for PwD students. The JOSAA portal is not limited to IITs and can be used to apply for various different colleges such as NIT and IIITs.

The companies visited are Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Amazon and Hdfc, etc. The highest CTC offered is 62lpa and the average is 19 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed depends on the branches in cse approx 100% of students get placed and in the dse 95% of students get placed and in the electrical 85% of students get placed.

Campus placements are good for you if you are in CS, DSE, or EE and want to work in the IT field. For other branches, if you want to opt for core jobs, there are very limited opportunities. Overall avg package of the college is around 20LPA.

Admission to IIT Mandi for B.Tech and B.Tech+M.Tech (dual degree) courses happen via the JEE Advanced exam. In order to to be eligible to give this exam one has to qualify for the JEE Mains exam. JEE Mains is conducted twice a year in the months of January and April by NTA while JEE Advanced usually is held in the last days of May and is conducted by one of the IITs. The cut-off for various courses offered at IIT Mandi varies for different branches and different categories. The closing rank for CS in IIT Mandi was around 3000 - 4000 for a general male candidate.
Placement Experience:
From the start of the 5th semester companies will be coming on campus for intenships. For placements campanies come in september month for seventh semester i.e., the start of the fourth year. Students can do internships off-campus before third year as well. Almost 200 companies visit our campus for internships and placements. From CSE 99% of the students are getting placed every year. Overall its like 80% placements. Previous year highest on campus package was 48 lac. Median package for CSE was 32 lac and average package was 28 lac. Overall the average package was 20 lac. Mostly there profiles are software development role or data scientist role. All the big companies like google, microsoft, uber, sprinklr, triology, amazon, oracle, media.net, newzera, arista networks, intuit, indeed, flipkart, samsung, willings, accenture, GMO research INC, yum brands etc visit for placements and placments. Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum is quite good. The faculties are good and well qualified from the best colleges. The faculty and student ratio is satisfactory. In some of the subjects, we were having mid-semester examination end semester examinations but in some subjects, we were having only mid-semester and some kind of projects and class participation of students.
Remarks:
I got admission to IIT Mandi through the gate examination held in 2022. I got an All India rank of 1642 in this exam. After participating in counselling firstly I got a call from IIT jodhpur in round 3, then in the special round, I got IIT Patna and IIT Mandir, and I selected IIT Mandi.
Placement Experience:
Placements are quite good, the total average package is 18 lakh and the CSE average is 25 lakh, median of 32 lakh per annum. Big tech giants Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, and Samsung visit the campus every year and take a good amount of students. The highest domestic package is nearly 50 lakh and international even reach 70 lakhs.
Remarks:
JEE advanced, CSE closing rank was 3100 almost, SC ST and OBC have many other reservation benefits but I belong to General so the cut-off was this, my rank was AIR 2925. There are 20% reservation for girls and no tuition fee for them and SC ST, General and OBC has to pay a fee.
Placement Experience:
Companies came in 4th year for hiring students so in the 8th semester hiring started. Various companies are visited here like Microsoft, sprinkle, uber Google, amazon etc. The highest domestic package is around 70,00,000 and the lowest around 10,00,000 for CSE students. Around 98 percentage students got placement.
Remarks:
My rank is 6132. So I got a cse seat in IIT Mandi easily. I have obc reservation so got a seat according to it. Application form present on the official site of jee. The date of the paper is announced in November.

All the b.tech students are eligible for placement after the 6th semester and the number of companies visited for placement in 2022 is around 70 the highest package offered was 62 LPA by oracle and the average package was nearly 22 LPA.

Admission is IIT mandi is done through JEE Advanced and after that, you have to fill in the choices for college and branch for josaa counseling the cutoff for IIT mandi computer science is AIR 3000 and for bio engineering, it is AIR 12000.

Campus placements are amazing here. It boasts very high packages and so does iit mandi. We have an annual average of 20lpa and 31lpa for cse. The highest packages can range from year to year but are usually above 60lpa

You have to qualify to jee advance to join. The cutoff rank is 3000. To apply for this university, you have to go through the proper counseling process by josaa and then get allotted here. Reservation is provided as per Indian govt norms
