Bangalore University offers various scholarships to its students depending on various factors. Given below are the details of the scholarships that students pursuing different courses at the university can avail:

Scholarship name Eligibility
Government of India Post-Metric Scholarships Karnataka students belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes whose parent’s annual income is less than or equal to INR 2.5 Lacs.
Minorities Scholarship The candidates belonging to minorities (i.e., Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs, Anglo-Indians, Jains, etc.,) whose Parents’ Annual Income is less than INR 44,500 are eligible to apply for Encouragement Fund/ Fees reimbursement from Minorities Welfare Department (MWD) as per the norms of MWD.
Special Scholarships Special Scholarships for Children of Government Employees/University Employees who die in harness, administered by the Director of Collegiate Education or the University as the case may be.
Post-Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship  Single Girl Child who happens to be the only child or girl who is a twin daughter in the family is eligible to apply only through online mode.
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor’s Merit Scholarship The scholarship is for meritorious students (1st to 5th Ranks) who come under the Below Poverty Line as defined by the Government of Karnataka. The scholarship amounts to INR 500 each per month for 10 months for each year, to each Department of Bangalore University.

Note: 

  • A student can avail of only one scholarship or financial benefit at a time.
  • Students availing a free (Non-paying) University hostel are not eligible for any other free ship, scholarship, either from the University or Government.
