Hostel Facilities:

hostel rooms are of 2 sharing or single rooms. Bed, study table, chair, cupboard, fan, etc., are provided. 3 meals and snacks are provided, the quality is satisfactory, menu changes every month. This is a residential campus, so all students will be given a hostel room. They charge nearly 60000 for the hostel room and mess food per year. There aren't any good PG or rooms near campus.

Campus Life:

Feb./march. There is a decent number of books available in the library. Classrooms are air-conditioned, and have one or two projectors. There is a sports complex with a swimming pool, 4 badminton courts, a few table tennis tables, 2 squash courts, 3 tennis courts, etc. There are many clubs run by the students such as the recreation/ journalism club(utthan), Rotaract, IEEEE student club, GDSC, AASF, etc. The only drawback is the limited student intake. This means everything here happens on a smaller scale.

Rooms are well equipped but we need ot buy our own cooler, curtains , bed , Mattress , heater etc. Meal Quality is Fine . Hostel is affordable with 14000 mess fees and 24000 hostel room fees. It is preffered to take hostels than renting a PG.

Campus Life:

There is medium size Library, AC classrooms an LRC(learning resource Centre), Sports Complex. Taking about clubs there is the IEEE club, AASF club, Manchtantra, Ecell, Uthaan, and Rotaract. Hostel Facilities:

There are 5 hostels in total (4 for boys and 1 for girls). Every room has a cupboard and three shelves. You are provided with a bed, table, and chair in the room. Also, there is a good lighting system in the room, and the rooms are also well-ventilated. The mess food is average just like in every hostel but there is a variety of food every day and the menu is decided by the hostel committee in which students, mess workers, and warden are the members. Sweet Dish is also provided to students. Hostel registration is also very simple. On the day of your college admission, you are first sent to the hostel and a room is allotted to you soon after you fill out the form and get it signed by the concerned authority.

Hostel Facilities:

The hostel facility is great, earlier every single student of this college used to get a single room irrespective of their courses. but now there're shared rooms but they are also sort of 3-4* hotel rooms 2 BHK ( only for freshies).

Campus Life:

Several clubs are there, and each day you'll get something happening on campus, seniors are great( except some obviously). The gender ratio is disastrous at 6:1, but still, you'll have a great college life over here. Aurora, info save, and many more events every year.

Ques. How are rooms allocated at IIITM Gwalior?

● Top Answer By Tiyasha Ghosh on 24 Mar 21

There is a separate room for the first-year graduates and integrated dual degree Mtech and MBA students. The hostel for first-year students is BH-2 (NILGIRI HOSTEL). The process for applying for the hostel is simple. When you visit the college for final verification after you complete all your formalities you get a hostel registration form. After you got the form, you have to visit BH-2 and simply ask the warden for room registration. The warden will guide you to all the rooms and the best part is you have full freedom to select the room of your choice. You just have to take a look at all the available rooms and get them registered. Coming to the occupancy of the room, rooms are available for single as well as double occupancy depending on your comfort, though most of the Btech students go for single occupancy. The lobby could be peaceful or loud depending on the students of the nearby rooms....Read more

Ques. How are the hostels and mess at IIITM Gwalior? What is the breakfast menu of the mess?

● Top Answer By Arpita Sinha on 22 Mar 21

IIITM Gwalior is an autonomous Institute of National importance. It was built and developed in an area of about 160 acres. Talking about the hostels, they are taken care of and hygienically maintained as well. The corridor area, mess, and bathroom areas are cleaned and sanitized by the staff on a daily basis. The students are allocated single and double occupancy rooms and it depends on their luck because the rooms are distributed by the officials on the first come first serve basis. In a girl’s hostel, each female student is allocated a single room irrespective of the branch and year. The students are open to various facilities in the hostel premises such as 24x7 Unlimited access to the high-speed internet, there is a common room where table tennis, carrom board, chess are placed for students with a 42 inch LED TV for their enjoyment. Here is the weekly menu of the hostel BH-2(Fresher's hostel) of the IIITM Gwalior -  Days Breakfast Lunch Dinner Monday Pav bhaji+ meetha daliya+bread+butter+banana Puri+aloo matar+ chole+ jeera rice+ raita+ salad Arhar dal + sabzi + chawal Tuesday Aloo matar + ankurit chana + soybean + moong Rajma + lauki + chawal + raita + salad Arhar dal + bhindi sabzi/aloo matar + chawal + kheer/sewaiya Wednesday Poha + jalebi + omelette +bread Dal makhani + sabzi + chawal + dahi + salad Paneer + arhar dal + jeera rice + ice cream Thursday Paratha + ankurit chana + aloo matar Kadhi pakora + chawal + papad + salad + mix veg Loki kofta + dal + chawal Friday Bread omelette + meetha daliya + poha Moong dal + sabzi + chawal + salad + dahi Paneer + dal + chawal + meetha boondi Saturday Idli/dosa + sambar + chutney + chow mein + pakora Chole bhature + boondi raita + chawal + salad Veg pulav + sabzi + dal Sunday Aloo/pyaaz paratha + chutney + butter Dal + dahi + aloo matar + chawal + salad Egg curry + mix veg + dal + chawal + custard The above menu is charged at just Rs.11,000 for each semester. Ques. What are the hostel facilities in IIITM Gwalior?

● Top Answer By Sania Pal on 22 Mar 21

The Hostel facilities are very good in IIITM Gwalior. The hostels are taken care of and hygienically maintained as well. The corridor area, mess, and bathroom areas are cleaned by the staff on a daily basis. The students are allocated single and double occupancy rooms and it depends on their luck because the rooms are distributed by the officials on the first come first serve basis. But there is no such issue if the student gets double occupancy in the first year, as the students are allocated a single room from the second year. Each room has LAN Port. The students are open to various facilities in the hostel premises such as 24x7 Unlimited access to the high-speed internet (10 Mbps). The Mess food is decent. Most of the facilities are similar to the IITs such as internet connection, centralized AC classroom, and Labs. Academics are not as per standard but they are expected to be improved because the institute has recruited new faculties. One good thing about IIITM Gwalior is that all the faculties in the institute are PHDs from reputed universities. All other facilities like cricket ground, football ground, sports complex, badminton court, swimming pool are available. Also, there is a gym in the sports complex but it is in bad condition. Thus, one can say that the hostel and other facilities are good at IIITM Gwalior....Read more

Ques. What are the pieces of furniture provided in the hostel rooms in ABV-IIITM, Gwalior?

● Top Answer By Soumili Roy on 23 Feb 21

ABV IIITM has three boys’ hostels and one girls’ hostel. In the first year, you will get accommodation based on your batch. You will either have a flat mate or a single occupancy during only the first year of the course you are enrolled in. You are afterwards required to shift to a new hostel where your period of stay will remain for the remaining college years (that is, 3-4 years). However, in all the aforementioned cases, you are supposed to obtain a chair, a table, an almirah, some of the storage spaces niched on the walls and on top of a cupboard, and 2 sets of 3 spaced shelves. It comes double in number if your room has been designed for places of two. The good news is, once the final allotment of a permanent room has been completed in the second year, you are free to buy your own personalized furniture items, such as a chair or anything as per your wish. The rooms of the institutional hostel are of a decent size for single occupancy and are provided with the bare minimum essentials like a single fan, and adequate lighting. But, other non-essential luxuries such as coolers, heaters, ACs, and even better furniture are to be bought with personal expenditure. Alongside, other crucial gadgets like fridges and washing machines are usually bought as a clubbed expense, by groups of friends having almost nearby room attachments or living door-by-door to one another.  Apparently, as witnessed, hostels here can be counted upon for all the basic amenities required for minimal staying purposes. You are also free to decorate your room as you wish to. That being said, the institute provides basic needs, and if students require more, they can amend as they wish to....Read more
