Sikkim Manipal University (SMU) MBA admission 2023 is ongoing. Currently the admission is open for a regular on-campus course and not for Distance Learning. Interested candidates can visit @apply.applysmit.in to register for the admission. The admission to this program will be based on MAT/CAT score/university entrance test followed by group discussion and personal interview.

SMU East Sikkim MBA Admission

Both regular distance courses are offered for MBA. A distance MBA course from the institution ensures that the students can get managerial skill in their dedicated field of study without worrying about attending regular classes. As it is already known, CAT/ MAT/ University Entrance Test are national level entrance examinations which consist of various sections like Quantitative Aptitude, English and Logical & Verbal Reasoning which needs to be clear after satisfying the basic eligibility criteria in order to get admission into MBA. The application process takes place through online as follows: 

• Candidates should apply to MAT/ CAT/ Univerity Entrance Test depending upon the entrance needed for the opted course. 
• They have to secure certain cutoff percentile/ marks.
• Then, the candidates should apply to the institution on the prescribed form by quoting their concerned entrance score.
• Finally, the Candidates will be selected based on their performance in Group Discussions and interviews after shortlisting through entrance score.

SMU East Sikkim MBA Cutoff 

Cutoff for the admission differs every year on a number of factors like the number of applicants, the number of seats available in the institution, the performance of the candidates, and the cutoff/ ranking trends of the previous years. Admissions to MBA are restricted by a high cutoff which is usually 85 for those who took XAT and 600 for those who sat for MAT. Once a candidate clears the cutoff, they still have to appear for an interview and a group discussion which would shortlist them to proceed further.

Since not all management entrance exams are not yet over this year, cut offs are yet to be finalized. Cut off for previous year is tabulated below.

SMU East Sikkim MBA Course Details

It offers a 2-year MBA program in Marketing Management, Finance Management, Human Resource Management, and Information System Management. All the courses are divided into 4 semesters with each subject carrying 4 credit points. Specializations are chosen by the candidates during the second year of the course with the first year having common subjects for all streams.

A 2-year MBA program has the following program structure:

MBA Examinations are conducted at the completion of each semester. Question papers consist of both objective type and detail type questions. Students can opt for either online or offline examination based on their choice. Examinations are conducted at specific prometric venues at stipulated date and time.

The Placement cell helps to find job opportunities for the graduating students and also supports in providing Summer Internships as well. Summer Internships are held between April to June in which Students have to undergo 8-10 months of internship with any company that recruits them. The institute maintains a placement cell which has a great network and tie ups with many MNCs.
