Sikkim University Admission 2024: UG, PG, PhD, Courses, Eligibility, Application Form, Last Date
Sikkim University offers high-quality education in various streams such as Humanities & Social Science, Science, Accounting & Commerce, Business & Management Studies, Mass Communication & Media Law, and Hospitality & Travel in UG, PG and Ph.D. levels. A weightage of 10% will be awarded to the registered students of Sikkim University for the purpose of preparation of the merit list of UG courses. Such candidates are required to enter the university registration number already awarded to them. One seat shall be awarded in each department in UG and PG courses on a supernumerary basis to University employees and their wards. Around 10% of seats are reserved for foreign candidates on a supernumerary basis in UG and PG programs.
Sikkim University Admission 2023
Admission to Sikkim University is based on CUET conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). For admission to all courses in UG and PG, Central Admission Test (CAT) is conducted at eight venues. MBA admissions are based on CAT or MAT or CMAT scores along with scores in a bachelor’s degree. For Ph.D. a written examination and personal interview are compulsory. Ph.D admission is based on the performance of the candidates in the written test and interview.

Common University Entrance Test (CUET)
All the applicants who have applied for any UG or PG course should appear in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) conducted by the University which is the admission criteria for UG and PG courses.
- The admit card will be released on the official website after submitting the application form.
- The duration of examination is 1 hour and the examination will be conducted for 100 marks. Candidates need to secure 50% marks to qualify in CUET.
- The test was held at eight venues namely Guwahati, Kolkata, Patna, Siliguri, Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Gangtok, Namchi and Geyzing.

How to Apply for Sikkim University?
Applications are available online at the university website:
- Application form will be available in the official website of the university – https://www.cus.ac.in
- Candidates should visit the official website of the university and fill in the application form
- After filling the application form, candidates need to pay the application fee which is INR 1000 for general category students and INR 500 for Reserved category students.
- After payment of application fees, submit the application form
- Admit card for CAT (for UG, PG) and written test (for M.Phil and PhD) will be published in the official website of the University
- The merit list of the candidates who have qualified CAT and written test will be published in University website
- The selected candidates need to report to the University campus to block their seats and proceed further with admission process.

Sikkim University Scholarships
The university provides merit-cum-means scholarship to the needy and meritorious students. Students who have scored 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) and have annual family income less than INR 60,000 are eligible for this scholarship.
The quantum of scholarship being offered is as follows :
- Fellowship : INR 3,000 per month
- Free-ship : Full tuition and laboratory fee waiver
- Half-sheep : 50% tuition fee and laboratory fee waiver
