Netaji Shubas University of Technology (NSUT) East Campus formerly known as Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies and Research (AIACTR), New Delhi is one of the top public engineering colleges in Delhi NCR. Established in 2001, the institute is affiliated to the University of Delhi and is approved by AICTE. 

The institute is famous for offering technical courses at UG and PG level. The courses offered are B.Tech. and M.Tech. NSUT East Campus Courses

NSUT East Campus offers both B.Tech and M.Tech courses. It offers two specializations in B.Tech and four in M.Tech. Students intake is 30 per stream for M.Tech. For B.Tech students intake is 120 for ECE Engg, 60 for CSE (IOT) and 60 for CSE (Big Data Analytics) Engg. For B.Tech courses the score of JEE Main is considered and for M.Tech, GATE qualification is must.

How to Apply?

  • Visit the official website of JAC- jacdelhi.ac.in.
  • Register online and make the registration-cum-counselling fee payment.
  • Select from the available seats and enter choices as per your preference. Candidates can add as many preferences as they want.
  • Candidates must note that they can change, delete, add new choices, and re-order their choices until the last date of counselling
  • Seat Allotment will be done based on the merit and availability of seats.
  • Post Seat Allotment, candidates must take the provisional admission letter and report at the allotted institute.
  • For the remaining vacant seats, spot round counselling will be conducted.
  • Candidates can participate in the spot round JAC Delhi counselling by paying a fee of Rs 10,000.
  • Special counselling is also conducted if vacant seats remain after the spot round counselling.

NSUT East Campus has different kinds of government scholarship schemes for supporting it's students. Some of them are listed below: 

  • Merit cum means Scholarship for Professional and Technical courses: This is a post matric scholarship for minorities.Students can visit the govt. website to apply.
  • Delhi govt. Merit cum means scholarship:  Students should fulfill the eligibility criteria which includes income/economic background and 60% marks in the qualifying examination. Based on the income there are three categories for which 100/50/25% of financial aid will be available. 
  • Prime Minister's Special Scholarship Scheme AY-2019: This scholarship is exclusive to students from the state of Jammu and Kashmir 
  • Pragati and Saksham Scholarship: This scholarship scheme is available to female and differently-abled students.

The institute offers a good standard of facilities for students to cater their needs. 

  • Infrastructure: The institute has a fire certificate, rain harvesting certificate, safety structure certificate and earthquake certificate. Around 20 well equipped classrooms are available for students.
  • Computer facilities: Institute offers computer facilities along with internet access to the students. Also super computers are available for CSE students.
  • Laboratory Facilities: ECE department has 22 labs for students to conduct their experiments and thus improve their skills. Each lab has an attendant and a technician to help the students.
  • Library: Institute has a total of 5416 titles and 29462 journals. Among these, P.G. has 2009 titles and 8794 journals and U.G. has 3407 titles and 20678 journals.
  • Health: NSUT East Campus shows acute care towards the mental as well as physical health of students. Institute has doctors appointed for the needs of students. Medical, psychiatry and psychological counselling are available in the campus.

Ans. As it is an urban college, it is easily accessible. Metro is also an easy option to reach the campus. There are many ways to reach to the campus by metro 

One is to reach the Kashmiri gate metro station and change the metro to shastri park station and take Gramin Seva auto to college premises. Another way is to reach Lakshmi Nagar Metro station and then reach campus by bus.

Ans. Students grievance cell is formed to solve the problems students face. Under the cell, there is an anti-ragging committee. The committee consists of four members. The institute is intolerant of ragging and students can contact the committee under any such situations.
