Hostel:

Living expenditure was close to 40-45 lacs. But this is being covered by scholarship. tuition, academics, everything.

I did my own research. I got to know this is one of the colleges where I can apply from my range of marks. But this was the last in my last to go. I have applied to many universities like Waterloo, Alberta. According to my score, I was pretty confident that I would get into a better university for sure. Dalhousie was last in my list, but I got admission here. So I got to know the flavor of competition going on in Canada.

Hostel:

I applied to live on campus but was denied because they were full. So instead, I am renting a room in a house. It was difficult finding a place to live since it is 5 hours away from my hometown. However, living off campus is much cheaper than residence.

It is in a city that I have visited and wanted to live in and it is a very strong research school. I only applied to this school but I applied to several different programs within the school. I performed well academically in high school so I appreciate the challenge of some of the courses at this school.

Off-campus because of the budget that I can afford and the kind of food which I eat differs from the on-campus meal. Another reason is that I want to stay with my friends rather than alone in an unknown country which again is best to live off-campus as everyone will be comfortable and can easily afford it.

My academic score is good but the sole purpose I have chosen this college is one that I have friends and relatives living in Halifax, other reasons include the internship benefit of the course, short tenure, less academic stress, high chance to be part of Atlantic nominee program. One more thing is that Dalhousie is one of the top universities in Canada that I can afford. As I completed my Bachelor's in Computer Science, I am sure that I need to enhance my knowledge in the same field, so that?s the reason for my master's in computer science.

Picked this university because it was the most reputable in my area, I did not want to travel too far, and by going here I can live with my sister and watch my nephew grow up. The public transit option is a great way to get to and from school without having to waste more time and money looking for a parking spot every day.

I chose this university because of the location and the program that was offered. The program included a Co-op program which will help me in the future with a future career in this field as it is very competitive.

This particular university is quite nearby to where I live which is a big factor (I wanted to stay in Nova Scotia). I also heard a lot of good things about the kinesiology program before beginning my degree here at Dalhousie.

I received the most money in scholarships at Dalhousie. I was also interested in the medical science program which I got accepted to. It was close to home so I would still be close to my family which was a plus.

I opted for this college because of the high ratings it has and because of the diversity of its student population. The quality of education is also really high and very research focused. Moreover, I love it because my friends are also a part of my community and I get to maintain these relationships

I grew up in Halifax minutes away from Dal campus and it's something I've always associated with home. I played varsity volleyball and since Dal has an excellent team that was another pull factor. All of my family are Dalhousie alum so it is great that I get to continue the tradition.

I wanted to go to Dalhousie since I was a child. My mother got her BSc there and it's local to where I live. I love Halifax as a whole. It has a beautiful waterfront and friendly people. Also, my dream hospital job is located in Halifax too so it only made sense to go to school here.
