KMC Manipal Admission 2024: Dates, Courses, Fees, Eligibility, Selection, Application Process

The degree course of MBBS is being offered at KMC for duration of four and a half years with one-year compulsory rotating internship course.

All admissions will be done on the basis of the valid rank obtained in the NEET UG. The counselling for 15% of total seats of MBBS will be done by DGHS, New Delhi. If seats remain vacant after DGHS counselling, then they are sent back to the college for further counselling as per the established norms.  

The remaining 85% seats will be filled under state quota to be filled through counselling conducted Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).

MBBS aspirants can also apply for management quota seats.

The minimum academic eligibility remains pass in 10+2, A level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually.

Key Points to remember for MBBS Admission:

• Candidates who comes under general category must secure minimum 50 percentile and reserved category must get 40 percentile to qualify NEET.
• Candidates applying for KEA State Level Counselling (KCET) must satisfy eligibility norms of the Karnataka State.
• The college may call eligible candidates for spot counselling as well after final declaration of vacant seats by DGHS.

KMC offers a number of post graduate courses in various specializations. Medical aspirants can apply for courses like MS, MD, PG Diploma, M.Sc. in Medical Sciences and Yoga Therapy. The duration of MS and MD is three-year and two-year for those who have obtained PG Diploma in the same specialty. PG Diploma, M.Sc. in Medical Sciences and Yoga Therapy are of two-year duration.

The selection process to all PG courses and Diploma is strictly based on National and University Level Entrance Examination. For selection in MS/MD/PG Diploma, candidates’ valid ranks of NEET PG will be taken into consideration followed by counselling conducted by DGHS. Candidate must have completed their internship bu March 31. 

In case of M.Sc. in Medical Sciences, candidates must appear in MET. The college will announce a merit based on All India Ranks and admissions will be finalized only after payment of requisite fees.

Admission in M.Sc. in Yoga Therapy will be done on the basis of Merit in the qualifying examination.

Key Points to remember for PG Admission:

• Genetic Counselling candidates must appear in personal interview for final selection.
• Candidates holding B.Sc. degree with Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects are considered for admission to M.Sc. Biochemistry.
• All MS/MD/PG Diploma candidates must complete their compulsory rotating internship on or before April 30, 2021 to be eligible for admissions. 
• They must also obtain permanent registration from MCI/State Medical Councils and Karnataka Medical Council and submit the same on or before the beginning of new session.

The College also offers Super Specialty programs of DM and MCH in four specializations. These courses are of three-year duration.

Candidates who wish to apply must sit for NEET SS examination followed by Counselling by DGHS.

Only candidates who secure a valid rank in NEET SS will be eligible for admissions.

At research level, KMC offers degree of M.Phil. in Psychiatric Social Work.

Those who wish to study M.Phil. must appear in entrance test conducted by the concerned department followed by short listing through personal interview.
