Our fee structure is a one time admission fees of 1000 rupees. Followed by 4500 rupees every 6 months or every semester. Apart from that we have no other fees. The fees is indeed very feasible. Yes the college gives us a complete transparency in fee breakdown.
Medicine is of course a challenging branch. It consists of 5 years of studies starting from basics of Anatomy Physiology and Biochemistry till the Clinical Subjects in Year 3 and Year 4. We learn via practical approach and observe patients on a day to day basis from year 2 onwards.
The college course should be updated more. Since we deal in Medicine, I feel if we are taught from the latest journals and studies it would be very helpful. Otherwise the faculties are very good and competent. Talking of exposure, internship does provide us with very good patient exposure. But amidst the current pandemic situation our clinical postings are getting hampered. We are not adequate time to deal with non covid patients
Fee is very low and it is affordable to the student like me, from a lower middle class family. There is only 1500 rupees for admit in entrance exam, then 1800 in counselling, admission fee 1000, semester fee 4500,exam fee maximum 2000. Total course within 50k. Most important part is food is own expense.
Total course is of 4 and half years. Which means total 9 semester. 1st year :- 2 semester then 1st year Prof exam. 2nd year :-3 semester then 2nd year Prof exam. 3rd year :-2 semester then 3rd year Prof exam. 4th year :-2 semester then 4th year Prof exam.

I stayed in a pg and attended coaching classes following which I got a good rank. I always wanted to study in a college in kolkata. In the first counseling I got in NRS Medical College. I had opted for upgradation to Medical College Kolkata. The upgradation happened one month later after I had started my classes in NRS. I had already adjusted to the environment and started liking the college. Hence I decided to let go off the upgradation. NRS has a very student friendly environment. I did not faceby Student
