Bannari Amman Institute of Technology (BIT) Admission 2024: Courses, Fees, Eligibility

Students can refer to the table displaying details of the UG courses.

Applicants can opt for any of the specializations offered by the institute according to their interest. The table contains all the specialization along with the intake under B.E and B.Tech courses:

Eligibility

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with at least 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

NOTE - Candidates must have secured 55% marks in each of the three subjects individually.

How to Apply for UG Courses?

Candidates have to follow a sequence of steps in order to apply for UG courses which are mentioned below:

1. Go to the official website of TNEA.
2. Register yourself by providing a username and password.
3. Now login with the above credentials to fill the online application form.
4. Enter all the necessary details.
5. Also, fill the preferred TFC for document verification.
6. Make payment of INR 500/- (INR 250/- for SC/SCA/ST categories) and then submit the form.
7. After successful registration, you will receive a PDF document through the TNEA Application Processing System.
8. Take a printout of this document and affix a recent passport size photograph.
9. You need to submit the same at the TFC during the verification process.

NOTE - Download the E-Call letter from the official website of TNEA which contains date, time and address of TFC. An email and SMS will also be sent to registered candidates regarding the above mentioned- details.

• Transfer Certificate
• Migration Certificate
• Category Certificate
• Domicile Certificate
• Income Certificate

Selection Criteria

• Students are granted admission based on the score in the qualifying exam (10+2).
• Post declaration of board result, students need to register on the TNEA portal.
• Registered candidates further have to be present on any of the TNEA Facilitation Centers (TFCs) along with their original documents for verification.
• After verification is done, the concerned authority will release a merit list which will contain names of students based on their rank.
• Students whose names are mentioned on the list have to attend the TNEA Counselling.
• There will be 4-5 rounds of the counselling for which applicants need to login using their user id and password. 
• They also have to pay a required amount towards the counselling fee.
• At the time of counselling, applicants have to fill the choice of course and college i.e. Bannari Amman Institute of Technology.
• Based on the choices and rank, allotment will be done.
• If satisfied with the seat, students need to confirm it.
• Lastly, they have to report at the allotted college to complete further admission formalities

BIT, Coimbatore offers 13 specializations under M.E course and they are tabulated below. While, there is only 1 specialization in M.Tech which is Biotechnology. Each of the specializations has an intake of 18 students.

Eligibility

The minimum requirement for M.E and M.Tech courses mentioned as follows:

• Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology with at least 60% marks.
• Or, they must possess a Master’s degree in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications with 60% marks.

How to Apply for PG Courses?

To apply for the TANCET exam, applicants need to fill the application form by following some simple steps which are mentioned as follows:

1. Visit the official website of TANCET.
2. Click on the Registration link to register.
3. A key will be sent to your registered mobile number.
4. Login by entering the registered email id, password and TANCET key.
5. After registration, proceed to fill the application form with all the essential details.
6. Next, upload scanned images of documents.
7. Now pay the application fee of INR 600/- (INR 300 for SC/SCA/ST candidates) through Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card.
8. At last, submit the form and take a printout of the same.

• Class 10th and 12th Marksheets and Passing Certificate
• Graduation Marksheets and Degree Certificate
• Transfer Certificate from the institute last attended
• Scorecard of TANCET/GATE
• Category Certificate
• Domicile Certificate
• Experience Certificate (if applicable)

Selection Criteria

• Candidates need to appear in the TANCET exam conducted by Anna University in order to get admission in any of the PG courses.
• After the conclusion of an exam, a merit list will be published containing the names of all the qualified students.
• Those who have their names in the list have to appear for the TANCA Counselling.
• Also, such candidates need to get their documents verified by visiting the counselling center.
• During TANCET counselling, students need to register online and fill the choice of course and college and pay the counselling fee.
• Seats will be allotted based on the rank in the exam and choices filled.
• After the seat allotment, students need to report at the allotted college for further admission process.
