Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College was founded in 1956 under the auspices of Nankana Sahib Education Trust (NSET), one of the most famous, earliest, and minority institutions in Northern India. Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, a premier institution of higher learning, offers ME/M.Tech programs in the areas of engineering, IT & software, architecture & planning, and business & management studies. A curriculum centered on mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, production engineering, civil engineering, computer science engineering, electronics & communication engineering, information technology, VLSI design, power engineering, structural engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, automobile engineering, mechanical engineering, and industrial engineering was established in the city of Punjab in 1956 to provide education and skills.

Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College Cutoff 

Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College offers a four-year BTech program at the UG level. Admission to the BTech program is based on KCET score, followed by KCET Counselling, which is conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). The institute-specific qualifying cutoff is announced after the declaration of the KCET 2021 result to manage the seat allotment process.

 The seat allotment process is based on the college cutoff and the candidate's preference for courses and colleges. The cutoffs are generally declared in two rounds of KCET Counselling based on closing ranks for each of the BTech specializations. The cutoffs are released for home state and other state candidates, which are further divided into GM GMK, SCG, STG, etc., categories.

Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College Admissions

Admissions for B. Tech courses are done through JEE (Joint Entrance Examination). Students are required to qualify for the entrance exam to apply for these courses. For admission into Mtech courses, candidates will need a valid GATE score. For an MBA, candidates will have to have a valid CMAT score to apply. Admissions into MCA are based purely on merit. To apply for Ph.D. programs, candidates will have to apply online on the Quality Improvement Program (QIP) website.

Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC) provides various four years B. Tech degrees for UG students. Students can choose from a variety of specializations. Students will have to first qualify for the JEE exam to apply for B. Tech in GNDEC. GNDEC also offers M. Tech courses for candidates who have already graduated with a B. Tech degree and are looking to continue with a PG engineering degree. The college offers full-time and part-time M. Tech courses in a variety of specializations.

GNDEC also offers PG degrees such as MBA and MCA for interested candidates. If candidates want to be admitted into the MBA, they have to first qualify for the CMAT exam conducted by AICTE. The admission for MCA is direct and based on merit. GNDEC also provides research programs (Ph.D.) in engineering for candidates who want to pursue a higher degree of education in research.

Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College Facilities has some of the facilities provided which include: Library: The institute has a well-established air-conditioned Central Library, fully computerized with the E-Granthalaya software package. It houses more than 94500 volumes and almost 30000 titles. Sports: The sports infrastructure includes a Gymkhana, pool table, football ground, and badminton court. The sports department simultaneously prepares teams for inter-college and inter-varsity competitions.

Various sports tournaments are organized throughout the session. Computer Centre: The Computer Center is equipped with 1000 Mbps Internet Connectivity, which provides Internet facilities to the whole college. The annual GENESIS festival of culture and the arts takes place in February or March. ATHARVA is an annual technical festival that draws attendees from numerous prestigious universities in North India. It takes place in September or October.
