What students say about Nagarjuna College of Engineering and Technology - [NCET]

Likes

  • Faculties are very good and well-educated. All faculties are educated with an Mtech degree and most have a PhD. A semester gets over every six months.
  • Yes, they provide internships in the electric workshop. I hope to think that this is the best option for students because they are gaining work experience at this college.
  • The placement is good, but no internship is provided. Its a semester pattern for exams, and the experience at this college is great.
  • None that I know of, but I believe there are some scholarships available for SC/ST students, which is quite awesome as it significantly reduces the fees for engineering colleges.
  • Nagarjuna College of Engineering and Technology has the best infrastructure, with the best and updated labs, seminar halls, etc.
  • The best thing about Nagarjuna College of Engineering and Technology is its infrastructure and hostels.
  • Very good college and excellent placement training, with renowned companies visiting our campus, such as Infosys, Infotech, HP, Wipro, Flipkart, Amazon, Google, TCS, HCL, Tata, etc.

Dislike

  • The course curriculum is designed to only help you achieve average scores. This means that the course duration is shorter, the course content is limited, and as a result, you gain less knowledge. It is harmful to your career and negatively impacts your job prospects.
  • The placement cell of the college is very poor at bringing companies for placement. Moreover, the companies that come do not provide standard jobs to the students.
  • No loan facility is provided from the colleges side because the college does not hold any rank among the colleges in Bangalore. Banks are not ready to provide you a loan. I repeat once again, the college will not help you on their side

Placement Experience:

Many companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, etc., are invited to the college for campus placements. (20 Reviews) The college has a very well-planned placement cell, and they will encourage us and give training for our betterment. Our college gives special training called " placement training" which helps students to get recruited by top companies

Remarks:

Kcet was the entrance exam.35000 was the kcet cutoff ranking. The NCET admission cycle happens each year in the mid of each year and the admissions are entirely based on merit. Scores from COMEDK UGET, KCET entrance test, Karnataka PGCET for Engineering, and MBA scores from CAT and MAT are considered for admissions in NCET. Students can avail of their application form from the institute’s portal.

Placement Experience:

From the 4th year or 7th semester, you will be available to attend placements. There were many companies that were attended on campus some were DXC, app associates, Harman, TCS, Capgemini, and many more. I got 3 offers. The highest package was 6 LPA and the average was around 4lpa. As I know all the students who attended the placement were selected. My plan is to work hard.

Remarks:

As I'm an ST student I had benefits in the CET exam or Common Entrance Exam which I cleared with a good ranking. Anyone can write the CET exam. The application is provided online at https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/ The application fees vary from person to person for reserved students the fee was 500. The applications start in March of every year. All the reserved students have to pay significantly fewer application fees than other students. The process can be improved and can be online which would be helpful, the government website is a bit slow and outdated which should be improved.
