MBA from NITIE is ranked 9th on NIRF Ranking and hence I chose to study here, leaving all the new IIMs. The average packages here are 27LPA for final placements and 2.5L for Sumer Placements. We have world-class faculties and are hence known as the Mecca of Supply Chain in India.

Having work experience in operations management and project management at JSW, I was looking forward to broadening my scope in other domains along with expertise in the domain. Faculty to student ratio is 1:60. Most of the faculty have Ph.D. and Double PhDs. There are trimesters for each year and each trimester has a mid-term and final term. Course Curriculum Overview:

I have selected the PGDM program which is the flagship program for the institute and the choice was very obvious the number of students is around 450 including the students for the PGDIE program. We are a class strength of around 70 people and we have around 10 subjects in each module and the Teachers ratio is very optimum because we have more than one teacher teaching for one particular subject depending upon their competencies for a particular course and all the faculties are having prior experience of teaching in top b school s and some of them are like more than 20 years of teaching experience in NITIE. We have 10 subjects in one module so we have several exam assignments that are done at regular intervals. The teaching method of every faculty is very unique and adds something new to the discussion through industrial knowledge and consultancy done for many top organizations.

Ques. Which is the best course in NITIE Mumbai among PGDIE, PGDIM, PGDISEM, etc.?

    ● Top Answer By Nitin Verma on 18 Aug 21

The most important thing you should know is which course will prove to be better for your career, rather than which is the best overall. As some of my friends are from NITIE Mumbai, I can give you a bit of information about PGDIE and PGDIM. Both PGDIE and PGDIM are flagship courses of NITIE. PGDIM is considered to be a management course, whereas PGDIE is a technical course. PGDIE is a more M.Tech equivalent. There are also certain differences between the course curriculum at PGDIE and PGDIM. PGDIE has a batch size of 120. And PGDIM has a batch size of 250. Admissions for PGDIE are done through GATE scores. For PGDIM, CAT scores are considered. The placements of both the courses are good. Students of both these courses sit for placements by almost the same companies. Therefore, it is suggested that you opt for the one that suits you the best. Ask yourself where your passion lies and will a management course or a technical course be beneficial for you....Read more

Ques. Which type of courses are offered by the NITIE Mumbai through the GATE, MBA or MTech?

    ● Top Answer By Shreya Palit on 18 Aug 21

Other than these few, PGDIE, PGDPM, and PGDMM are equivalent to M.Tech. The admissions are followed by considering the GATE scores which also helps make students eligible for the regular stipend provided by the government to several of these GATE qualifiers. ...Read more

Ques. How much it will cost to do a MBA in operation at NITIE Mumbai, including the living cost for two years?

    ● Top Answer By Shreya Arora on 11 Aug 21

I can give you an idea about the cost of doing an MBA from NITIE as one of my friends is a student there. At present, the tuition fee for MBA is 11 lakhs for a period of 2 years. Other than that, if you consider assuming Rs. 3500 as the average mess fees for a total of one month, then it sums up to Rs. 35,000 for a time period of 10 months (considering 2 months of vacation period). The mess fee sums up to Rs. 80,000. The overall amount you might personally require can be 1 Lakh in a total of 2 years. Thus, it can possibly be around or over 13 Lakhs, if you go on to plan for a rather controlled cost vacation in NITIE....Read more

Ques. Is there any fee concession in NITIE Mumbai for a general student?

    ● Top Answer By Rishabh Aggarwal on 20 Aug 21

Yes, NITIE Mumbai gives fee concessions to the general category students also. The form of fee concession is merit cum need a form of scholarship.  The simple meaning of this merit cum need scholarship is that a student has to be eligible for some criteria to avail it. To be eligible, a student needs to maintain considerable academic aggregate and should be from an economically weaker background.  The range of scholarships is in the form of a 30% fee waiver for the students with an annual family income below INR 2.5 lakhs and a 50% fee waiver for the students with an annual family income below INR 1 lakh.  Excluding the scholarship, the students enrolled in the courses of PGDPM, PGDIE, and PGDMM avail of a stipend of around INR 12400....Read more

Ques. How do I pay the fees for NITIE in Mumbai if my father's income is less than 2 lakhs?

    ● Top Answer By Khushi Chitra on 10 Aug 21

My cousin's brother enrolled in NITIE last year. So I am well aware of this criteria. According to him it’s not very difficult.  You can simply apply for an education loan.  Almost all government banks in India offer an education loan without collateral to students who enroll in a high-quality institute.  The interest rates are lower as well.  SBI, for example, does it through its SBI Scholar loan scheme, which is available to a list of reputed or “good-quality” institutes. NITIE appears on all of these lists.  There is no need to pay interest until you graduate.  Even so, you have the option of extending the moratorium period for an additional year.  You can begin repaying the loan once you get a good job.  Essentially, your parents are not required to do anything in this situation. If your family income is less than 2.5 lakhs, you can get a 30% tuition fee waiver, and if your family income is less than 1 lakh, you can get a 50% tuition fee waiver....Read more

Ques. What are the MBA fees in NITIE Mumbai?

    ● Top Answer By Sidhi Smita Pattnaik on 18 Aug 21

I have a few friends who graduated recently from NITIE, so I think I can give you some information regarding the fee structure of the institute.  There are two modes of entry in NITIE, i.e. GATE (PGDIE/MM/PM) and CAT (PGDIM/ISM).  The Fee structure is different for GATE and CAT qualifying applicants. GATE qualifying candidates are charged around INR 12.5 LPA for the MBA program while CAT qualifying applicants are charged nearly INR 14.5 LPA.  Although the fees I have mentioned are solely meant for Tuition Fees, this doesn't include mess fees which you need to pay separately....Read more
