Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to 4 year Full-time B.E. Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement

Candidate must have passed 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as main subjects with a minimum average percentage given below.

  • For Communities other than BC / BC (Muslims) / MBC & DNC / SC /ST & Other Communities – A minimum average of 50% and above in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.
  • For BC / BCM Communities – A minimum average of 45% and above in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.
  • For MBC & DNC Communities – A minimum average of 40% and above in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.
  • For SC / ST – belonging to Tamilnadu, a mere pass (40%) in the qualifying examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

Entrance Exam

Candidates will be selected through TNEA Counselling.

Admission Guidelines

The selection of candidates for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) 2016  will be based on the marks obtained in the prescribed subjects reduced to 200 (Mathematics – 100, Physics + Chemistry – 100 in the qualifying examination).

TNEA Exam Pattern

All questions will be objective type only.

Questions will be asked from Physics, Math and Chemistry at Intermediate level.

Exam duration will be for two and half hours.

Questions will be in English language only.

Total number of questions will be 150 and there will no negative mark for wrong answer.
