  • Academically its great and you can expect good placement at the end.
  • Teachers are very good and supportive and support anytime you need
  • Placement is really good, as majority of the students get placed with good offer
  • Clubs are really good in NIE, and college supports clubs and their events

Dislike

  • There are very few opportunities for internships, and the CGPA requirement for these internships is very high. As a result, only a small number of students from the college are able to secure internships on campus. The rest have to look for opportunities off campus.
  • If your rank in KCET is less than 7000, you will get a fee waiver (Im not sure about it). Im sorry, I really dont know any. There are some scholarships and reservations for SC, ST, OBC people.
  • Our campus life is a little average because we have been shifted to the NIEIT campus as its closing. All IT branches are in the Koorgalli campus beside BEML, which is a little bad compared to the south campus. The south campus is heaven.
  • I did not reside in a hostel. My friends from other cities stayed there and they said it was not good. Even the food was not good during that time. There were only 2, 3, or 4 sharing rooms, as far as I know.
  • Only South Indian food is served in the canteen; no North Indian food is available.

Placement Experience:

Placement sin college is preety good. We have plenty lot of companies and some big tech giants like boeing, cisco, amagi. The students become eligible from the 4th sem onwards but the main companoes start comming from 6th sem. The highest packagefor our cllg is 49 lpa last year amd the average package is 11 lpa. Approx 98 percent students get placed from nie cs/is branch and for other branches it is 80-90 percent.

Remarks:

It was through comedk entrance exam. Eligiblity was 12th pass and resident of india. During that time the application fees was 1800rs and dates were around the month of march. The exam is now combined with kcet which karnatakka state board exam.

placement: 8/10
college: 7/10
course: 7/10
internship: 6/10
campus life: 8/10
