IISc Bangalore BTech admission 2023 is open now. The last date to apply for admission to the BTech Mathematics and Computing program is June 20, 2023. Eligible candidates can apply online on the university’s official website - iisc.ac.in. Admissions will be granted on the basis of JEE Advanced scores. JEE Advanced 2023 result will be announced on June 18. The minimum eligibility to apply for the program is 10+2 or equivalent with PCM. IISc Bangalore charges INR 2,05,200 per year and offers a total of 52 seats for the B.Tech program.

IISc Bangalore BTech Eligibility Criteria

Students must have cleared class XII or equivalent from a recognized board with the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, a language, and any subject other than the above four.

IISc Bangalore Admission 2023

IISc Bangalore B.Tech admission process starts with submission of online applications, followed by selection on the basis of JEE Advanced score and allocation of seats to candidates. There are total 3 stages for completing admission process-

Stage 1) Filling of application form: Candidates are required to fill the application form available on the official website https://admissions.iisc.ac.in/ and upload the required documents in the accepted format along with submission of application fee. 

Stage 2) Updation of application form: Applicants need to update their application form on the portal within 48 hours after declaration of JEE Advanced ranks. 

Stage 3) Allocation of seats: Candidates having a valid JEE Advanced rank will be allotted seats as per the decision taken by the concerned authorities.

IISc Bangalore charges INR 2,05,200 per semester for its 4 year BTech program. Tuition fee of INR 2 Lacs charged from Gen category students are fully waived for SC and ST category students. The table below shows the breakdown of BTech fee structure in the form of annual and one time charges:

IISc Bangalore BTech Application Process 2023

Applications for IISc BTech program are to be submitted online through the IISc Online Admission Portal. If you are new to the portal, you must register first and then login again for form filling. After filling all the personal details, the system will send a spam mail to confirm the registered mail id. After this, to complete the application process, the system will ask you to upload the following documents:

• Passport photo image file
• Signature image file
• Category certificate as PDF fil for applicants in the SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS categories
• Relevant certificates as PDF filefor applicants in PwDand KM categories
• Details of your 10th and 12th standard schooling,marks and key subjects.
• Details of all under-graduate degrees, post-graduate degrees, and diplomas that you have completed, including marks for each semester/term, cumulative marks, official rank if available, and key subjects you have taken.
