What students say about Vel Tech Multi Tech Dr. Rangarajan Dr. Sakunthala Engineering College

Likes

  • The course curriculum was set by Anna University, ensuring perfect regulation, as the college is under their jurisdiction.
  • Although, I hear that now they are helping really deserving students to get what they want.
  • Here, 90 percent of the students get their jobs every year. It is a very good thing for the students to join here, trusting the university.
  • The fee cost was good and sufficient for the facilities and studies provided for students.
  • Campus life is one of the best, although the management is a bit strict regarding girl-boy interaction.
  • It has 2 separate toilets, one balcony with ropes for clothes drying, 4 wardrobes, 4 small shelves, 5 plug points, 2 showers, 4 beds with cots, 2 fans, and separate normal water and hot water taps are also available.
  • The admission process begins in March, and they have good faculty to guide the students.

Dislike

  • They collect money only, but they dont provide it to students, I mean they dont reduce the burden.
  • They deploy security at the front gate, and there will always be screening for your hairdo, costume, whether you are wearing an ID or not, and if you have a mobile with you, etc.
  • Since I was from a small village with no one in Chennai, I had to pay the fees and stay put.
  • Yeah, there is something wrong in our college. We have a very bad politics that hinders the development of our college.

Placement Experience:

From 6 semesters students are eligible for campus placements. Infosys and many more visited and were given good placements. The highest package is 34 lakhs and the lowest is 1.2 lakhs. Mostly students with 86% to 100% are placed. My plans are I would like to go for animation courses

Remarks:

I took the entrance exam for the eligibility criteria and I got selected based on my entrance exam. The college faculty approached us for admission. There is no reservation based on the cast . I want too see some minor improvements like explaining the core subject content deeply for more understanding of concepts and subjects. I would like to see more facilities in my college at least in the future. it's very easy to read in my college and the faculty are very friendly in nature to discuss the subjects and doubts

Placement Experience:

From the sixth semester, I got eligible for a campus interview. Companies visited are Wipro TCS Capgemini HCL etc. The highest package was 10 lakhs per annum and the average package is 3 lakhs per annum. More than 90% of the students got placed in cse. After the got degree, I am going abroad for the IT sector.

Remarks:

The eligiblity to join computer science is to have a cut of more than 190, then the admission process does not tougher than unviersities and no entrance exams and there is a lot of scholarships available for SC,ST students. They want to improve their way of paying fees in online at admission process.

Faculty are qualified with PhD and there teaching field is very much interesting.

Remarks:

Placement Experience:

In our college from the 6th semester, the students can apply for placements. Many companies offer us placements. The highest package of our college is 64 lakhs per annum. In our college, 60% of that particular year can be placed. And the rest 40% were also placed but a year later.

Remarks:

Well, firstly they conducted an entrance exam of 120 questions of multiple-choice questions. And they give us options in subjects either maths or biology. The minimum mark needed for eligibility is 50. And the students of the top 20 ranks got scholarships up to 90%. In that, I got only 25 ranks, so I didn't get that scholarship.
