What students say about Alva's Institute of Engineering and Technology

Likes

  • Also, it is affiliated with VTU Belgium itself, so it does not provide its own syllabus and works as another college of VTU does.
  • I did my internship in NARL (ISRO) for 2 months through College Influence. It was a good experience with NARL scientists, and we completed a project-based on Python. They provided us with a certificate after the completion of the project.
  • The college provides internships within the college itself, and also organizes bootcamps or training camps for better placement of students. Companies like IBM, Wipro, and Amazon visit our campus for campus selections.
  • Those students who are talented in sports and cultural activities, the chairman of Alvas College has established an adoption facility that offers free education, including hostel expenses.
  • They have good facilities for coaching students, such as a synthetic track, a football ground, and more.
  • Alvas College campuses have about 7-9 hostels where girls are accommodated, and boys are accommodated in the hostels within the city limits. Additionally, the college has its own approximately 35 buses for the benefit of students.
  • I applied for 3 colleges, but I only received an offer from AIET. I joined through the GN quota. The admission process was smooth and well-organized.

Dislike

  • Hectic with lots of study pressure on students: 6 assignments, 2 laboratories, and 6 subjects. There is no time management, as the day will be spent only on completing assignments and records. There is no time at all to do some research works, etc.
  • There isnt much to hide in fees as it costs less compared to other engineering colleges. The cost of studying comes up to 1 lakh 15 thousand, which includes hostel and college fees. The opportunity for scholarships is vast

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Entire AIET campus is Wi-Fi enabled with 1000 Mbps of BSNL 1:1 Leased line. A well-equipped multi-cuisine food court is on the campus. The quality of the faculties is also awesome. Around 10:100 is the ratio of faculties.

Remarks:

You will get applications in college. The application fee is around 200. I wrote the CET exam but I opted for this college, this college does not have any entrance exams for engineering courses. I didn't do any reservations.
