Kunjali Marakkar School of Marine Engineering, Cochin is the first marine engineering college in Kerala state. This government Institute was established in 2003. The Institute was affiliated to Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi and also has been approved by AICTE. 

The institute offers B - Tech in Marine engineering, M. Tech in Marine engineering. The yearly intake for its flagship B.Tech in marine engineering programme is 80.

The college offers internships at the end of the 2nd semester or 4th semester. The College also provides great placements to students every year with a highest salary package of INR 5 LPA.

Selection Criteria

The admission to B. Tech is offered through a common admission test (CAT) on all India Level conducted by CUSAT.

How to Apply?

  • The candidates who wish to apply for B. tech in marine engineering have to appear for CUSAT CAT.
  • The candidate has to fill up an application form on the official website of CAT CUSAT.
  • The candidates will be shortlisted based on their score in the entrance exam.
  • A final admission will be given on the basis of the composite score of CAT, 10th, 12th and graduation.

Hostel: The campus has its own hostel building for both males and females. Students do not have to pay an extra amount for the hostel charges as it is included in course fees.
