The course curriculum follows the best syllabus. It follows the Kerala Technological University syllabus. The exam structure is also very good.
The students are brilliant, and most of them find themselves according to their wishes.
The placements in the college are the best in the state, with a whopping 39LPA being the best placement offered by Adobe.
Scholarships are provided to reserved categories such as scheduled castes and scheduled tribes. Their fees are discounted, and funds for buying laptops were given to many deserving students of the college.
Lab facilities are the best at the state level. All facilities are provided. The physical education department of the college is famous for state-level sport opportunities. A big ground, indoor space, and gym are provided on campus.
The food provided in the hostel is one of the best among all the hostels around the campus. The ladies hostel comprises 800 students.
The best place where you could pursue engineering, a place that moulds your career. CET is a place that builds your career opportunities, making you think that its a world beyond engineering and technology.

Dislike

The syllabus revision for the Semester Based examination conducted by the University of Kerala was a bit slow and contained outdated content.
The college does not provide internships. We have to find internships ourselves. They do offer opportunities for the same. Some companies, such as Saint Gobain and Benz, come to recruit students for internships; however, their selections are limited.
In our college, there is no placement for the Department of Architecture. We have a half-year internship along with our syllabus. To get an internship, we should prepare a portfolio with all our works and projects.
The fee structure described above makes it clear that there is not much need for a loan facility to pay the fees, and it is very affordable for common men.
One of the negative aspects of college is the lack of size in our sports ground facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

College of Engineering Trivandrum is one of the oldest and best colleges in Kerala. We have excellent placements and the faculty is well-trained and qualified. Currently, the university timetables are a little too stressful with absolutely no break due to the pandemic. The faculty here is very approachable and ready to help if anyone needs it.

Remarks:

For admission to engineering colleges in Kerala, we are required to attend the KEAM examination. This exam would have three parts- Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with Mathematics having a higher weightage. A student can apply for this course through the KEAM portal and is required to submit a few documents like an income certificate, Nationality, and caste certificate for students belonging to categories other than general. This is done for reservation purposes. After the rank list is published, the admission processes start. The student is required to fill in their options from their candidate portal on the KEAM website. A certain date will be provided for the same. Then we have a trial allotment through which we know what are chances are considering the current options list and a day or two will be provided to make the required changes. Then there will be three more allotments. After each allotment the student is required to take admission to the college they are allowed.
