As far as the name of the university is concerned, let me tell you that PESIT became PES University back in 2014. It is also known as PESU and like every other university, it also has its own advantages and disadvantages. The authorities at the university are keen on trying to create a strong workforce. With PESU being in the early stages of its development, it also requires attention in many areas. For this, the authorities are quite careful with and everything. Now, when you talk about PESIT VTU or PESIT South Campus, this college follows the pattern set by VTU. So, you can easily trust it. This pattern has been tried and tested and quite a lot of colleges are known to follow it. But, PESU on the other hand, is trying something new. The first batch at PESU passed out in 2018. You can accordingly check how well this and the other batches are doing and if taking admission at PESU is a risk worth undertaking. In terms of placements, there is no difference as such- whether you talk about PESIT or PES, both colleges provide good placements. The students of both universities get to sit together with each other inside the campus. Jobs depend upon how well you perform with your abilities. The better you put your abilities to use, the higher your chances of getting a job are. Categories PESIT PES University Highest CTC 13.63 LPA 48 LPA Average CTC 4 LPA 6.8 LPA Recruiting Companies Infosys, Byju’s, Accenture, Bosch, etc. HCL, Capgemini, Honeywell, Mercedes, etc. But if we consider education, there is a difference that is to be marked. If I talk about PES, this is a University entirely. On the other hand, PESIT falls under VTU which is the South Campus. Ques. Which is best among PESIT (south campus), PES University (Banashankari) and PES College of Engineering (Mandya)?

PES University is the best of the three because it is autonomous, whereas the other two are still affiliated with VTU. Because PES University is an autonomous college, it has a better course than other VTU colleges, and for your information, it is ranked third in Karnataka engineering colleges. However, the only way to get into PES University is to take the PESSAT or KCET; COMED-K scores are accepted in the other two colleges and the KCET. They have superior infrastructure, resources, and financial resources. PESIT South Campus shares placement with PESIT Main Campus, so placement students from both campuses almost receive equal pay. However, it would help if you score well in either the CET or the COMED-K to be admitted to any of the PESIT south campus branches....Read more
