Eligibility Criteria:

You should have passed the B.Tech. Degree examination in the relevant field of specialization from Calcutta University or any other University recognised by UGC.

If you are from a University other than Calcutta University, you should have secured at least 60% marks or its equivalent grade in B.Tech level. You should also have

a valid GATE qualified score in relevant subject.

Admission Guidelines

For Full Time:-

You will be selected on the basis of an Entrance Test conducted by the respective Departments of the University, followed by an Interview should you qualify the Entrance Test. 70% weightage to be given on the GATE marks obtained (out of 100) and 20 % weightage to be given on marks obtained in the Entrance Test & rest 10% weightage on Interview.

For Part Time:-

Your selection will be based on weightage in Entrance Test marks (50%) + Interview (50%) [ including additional weightage of in service candidate (in service candidate may get maximum 20 marks out of 50 of total interview marks, without service candidate will get 0 marks out of 20 allotted for in service criteria].

Entrance Test:-

The Entrance Test will be of MCQ type for a duration of one and a half hours. The Exam will carry a maximum of 100 marks. Number of questions in each test will be of 50 (marking as 1 to 50) and each question should have four options of answers (marking as A, B, C, and D) of which one will be correct answer. For each correct answer 2 marks will be awarded. There shall be negative marking with 0.5 marks being deducted for each wrong answer.
