NSHM provides means-based and merit-based scholarships to students. There are mainly four types of scholarships that the college provides as financial aid to the students. Below-mentioned is a list of some of the NSHM scholarships applicable to the students of NSHM Institute of Health Sciences, Kolkata along with their respective eligibility criteria:

The merit cum means based scholarship given by NSHM is assessed solely on the basis of your family’s financial standing and Past Academic Performance.

Academic Scholarship

Merit Based Scholarship available for UG & PG Programs based on their Past Academic Performance. Scholarships will range from 25% fee waiver to 100% fee waiver.

For UG Applicants:

  • Original Transcripts of Class XII & Class X are mandatory.

For PG Applicants:

  • Original Transcripts from the Undergraduate Program are mandatory.

For Lateral Entry:

  • Original Transcripts from Diploma Program is mandatory

Financial Aid Scholarship

The merit cum means based scholarship given by NSHM is assessed solely on the basis of your family’s financial standing and Past Academic Performance.

For Applicants with Family Income <2.5lacs per year:

  • Family Income Certificate to be obtained from any “A1 Gazetted Officer.”
  • Original Class X,XII or UG Transcripts as applicable.

For Applicant with Family Income between 2.5 to 5 lac per year:

  • Original Class X,XII or UG Transcripts as applicable.
  • Income Tax Returns for the Financial Year 2017-18, 2018-19 & 2019-20 for your parents/earning members of the family.
  • Salary statements for the last 3 months of all parents/earning members.
  • Bank Account Statements for the last 12 months of all Parents/earning members of the family.
  • Details of the family’s Financial Assets (movable and immovable property, investments, etc)
  • For Businesses/Professionals : Income Tax Returns, Bank Statements, Financial Statements (Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet for the last three Financial Years) & Form 26AS
