What students say about DAV College - [DAVC]

Likes

  • They are PhDs, and some of them are post-graduates from the best universities. They hold a great deal of teaching experience.
  • Yes, the college provides all the information and internships to the students in their college because they have good ideas and achieve good results too in internships.
  • They have a very good reason to have their own placement system. They provide the best way for students to find placement in their careers, and their ability to secure a job is also very good.
  • As described and told, the PU campus also provides prizes and cash rewards to brilliant students for their excellent performance in academics.
  • They are good at everything, such as talent hunt competitions, quizzes, and many more activities. There are also labs, such as computer labs and science labs, available.
  • I have a very good taste in food and I excel in studying. Moreover, I enjoy a good study environment.
  • The umbrella garden and Shaurya Bhawan management of the college is very supportive and helpful. It is the best college in the Tricity.

Dislike

  • There are no internships in my department, and I have no clue if they have them in other departments.
  • The college toppers get placements, but getting placements is not easy.
  • Havent heard about this, but I know that sometimes fees are not taken by the college from poor students.
  • The students were unhappy with the food they usually come to the canteen to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  • Maybe our college provides all facilities, but there is a bad remark about our college that the timetable should be maintained. Some students have joined professional courses but cannot attend classes due to a poor timetable.

Placement Experience:

Students can go for placements in their last and second last semesters. Many renowned companies have visited us and several offers have been made in the past. The highest package for my course would have been 100K. 60-70 per cent of students go for placements. I'll have my masters in the same subject and look for research-based specialisations.

Remarks:

There was this combined form for all the colleges under Panjab University's affiliation. Other than that there was this entrance test called PU-CET which was mandatory for admission. The criteria for admission to these colleges were based on the marks scored in class 12
