Mainly from 5 semesters , companies start coming with their job offers or sometimes in 4th semester. The average package is 1.5L and maximum is 18L from D.E Shaw. But from many years this company took no student. Percentage doesn't matter for placement. What matters is your communication skills.
In the final year of their course, students are eligible to apply to the companies which come to the college for hiring students Companies like dr morepen , Cadbury, Microtech, etc. About 60 to 70 percent of students get placed through companies visit in the campus But I had not applied at the time of graduation because I want to do a master's in applied chemistry so now I'm pursuing a master's in applied chemistry and after this, I'll do phd.
There are many top companies which our college claims to come and offer jobs to the students studying in it but it is partially true as per my knowledge. It is a rare chance that students who are not just extraordinary in the subject get a job in Infosys or tech companies like Tech Mahindra etc. But our college indeed provides a pathway for its students to get into these companies but the placement rate is lower than in other colleges. But the college is not bad at all in this field as many colleges out there can't even claim to get their students into big companies like these.
Our college provides job placements and internship opportunities in the college. As far as it is concerned there was a sudden increment in job placements from the college and many companies from different spheres like computer, IT, Telephone, communication, etc. are provided. As available on the internet, the truth is that offers up to 3-4 lakh per annum are on averagely provided and the highest packages are up to INR 20 LAKH per annum. Approximately 23-25% of students are placed annually in different companies. However, after getting a degree I do not want to pursue the job but I want to home my skills and experience and put them into my family business.
Students can go for placements in their last and second last semesters. Many renowned companies have visited us and several offers have been made in the past. The highest package for my course would have been 100K. 60-70 per cent of students go for placements. I'll have my masters in the same subject and look for research-based specialisations.
Companies like Mahindra, Delloite, and many big companies came. The job will be also outstanding after doing this course and then after a few years the increment is also high in this course and the overall scheme is good.
The student becomes eligible for the placement from the 5th semester. Companies like Mahindra. The average package is 4 lakh and the maximum package is 14 lakh. 15% of the total no. of students in the faculty. My plan after getting the degree is to gain an internship or get an degree of MBA
E&Y and Vivo were the star companies and many more were there. The students got roles in different profiles such as marketing, finance, sales, etc. The college does not provide internship officially but allows the students to do the same if they want. The average stipend is 9k per month.
The students become eligible at 6th sem for placements, Wipro, Infosys, tata, etc. The highest package offered by company is 7 lakhs and average package is 3lakhs20 thousands The boy who are deserving and eligible only get placement. No other who is not good dnt get any placements. My plan is to give CDS exam which was conducted by UPSC and to get commissioned in Indian Army as a officer.
The eligibility for the course was just merit-based and the application form is available on the website of DAV and the application fee was around 1000 Rs. and I think the admission process should be quite easy and available for everyone.
JBy - JashanpreetThe admission is done on the basis of Cut-off. It was totally based on your 12th percentage. The application is filled through the.ac.in the site. This one form is applicable to every affiliated college under Panjab University. The admission procedure was online.
SBy - StudentActually I had done my class 12th from chandigarh so it is not very tough for me to take admission in this college because of the ut quota. So after my 12 result forms are opened different colleges in Chandigarh which are affiliated with panjab university so fill out the form and got admission to the first counseling. The cutoff of my course is an average of 90-92 percent for other than ut students and the cutoff for ut students is around 65 percent.
