What students say about Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology - [NIET]

Likes

  • I chose this course because I have an interest in computer-related courses, and this is the best college for me to enhance my skills and knowledge. There are qualified and certified teachers who provide knowledge to students.
  • You can get the best internships and training here. You can achieve your goals and make a good career here.
  • Our college is under the administrative guidance of the PCET group, which is the best and renowned for placements in Maharashtra.
  • The fee structure is affordable because NIET is one of the best institutes for engineering and management courses, offering the best placement opportunities for all students in U.P.
  • Campus Life is best for students, and the college also provides annual events such as orientation programs and freshmen parties.
  • The hostel is very good, neat, and clean. The rooms are well maintained and well facilitated with a table fan, chair, balcony, cupboard, etc.
  • The best way to enter college and get into the best branch in any course is to qualify for entrance exams such as JEE Mains for BTech and other exams that fulfill the colleges requirements.

Dislike

  • The course is the worst and there is no practical learning.
  • The college doesnt provide any sort of internship and doesnt have any contacts for arranging internships; thats the sad part about it.
  • Placement and job opportunities are not good; only a few companies visit the campus, such as HCL and TCS. The placement ratio is also very bad.
  • There is no hike in fees; they just add a few costs to our fees if required, otherwise not. The cost is 105,700 per year. I have got a job on campus, which is a software engineering job in Virtussa company.
  • Gender ratios are always creepy, as they are in engineering colleges, but still, its okayish at around 1/15. No workshops are provided by the college. Student diversity is really low; you only find local people studying here.
  • I always heard students complaining about the bad quality of food and the lack of electricity supply in the hostel building during college hours in order to ensure that students are attending classes.
  • Sometimes students think that attendance is a negative thing, but if the college system doesnt make it compulsory, then students would never come. However, there are moments when students need some time for exam preparation, and at that point, attendance can be seen as a negative aspect.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate is good in college. Lots of companies visit like amazon Wipro TCS Capgemini etc. After the 6th-semester students are seen taking part in Placement activities. Every k approx 2000 students get placed from here in various companies. Amazon gives the highest package of 44lkh this year it was around 52lkh. Even the college has an idea lab that gives skills about start-ups. Many students every year go for their start-ups.

Remarks:

Admission can be in any mode online or offline. For core cse you need above 75% in 12th. The admission form and fee structure are available on the college website niet.co.in. we can take Admission online mode and fee payment can also be done online. The admission process is so easy and smooth. No complexity is there.

Placement Experience:

The plus point about the college is that it got the upper hand in the placement in competition with the college under the same umbrella. Not too high but the average is higher than the majority of the college of NCR. Especially CSE and IT, the one which fees the average placement more. It is decent and the average is 5-6 LPA.

Remarks:

To get admission to NIET, one can apply direct(12th merit) or through aktu counseling. The direct admission procedure is available on the college's official website whereas, for counseling, one has to visit aktu website.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i had chosen the CSBS course because .it is the new branch added in NIET by the TCS. the syllabus is totally designed by the TCS. There are nearly 100+ faculties and 5000 students including all courses. Most of the faculty are M.tech graduates and the rest are B.tech graduates .periodically after one month sessional exams are conducted and after six months the semesters are conducted. the exams are essays to qualify and the questions in exams come from the syllabus.

Remarks:

As I had taken admitted in 2020 through UPTU at that time the course I got was CSBS and the cutoff rank was 17,000 so, I scored good marks and got admission. To take the admission online application form is present at niet site and there are no fees for it according to the session the application dates are decided. When the candidate comes from counseling and his marks are good then f/w are given to them and the fees are also reduced for them. no, the admission process is too good and there is no need to change.

Placement Experience:

For six semesters students are always going to sit in placement round. The highest package of 2021 one is 44 lakh per annum. Almost 95% of students are getting placed with a very decent package compared to other colleges.

Remarks:

You can find the form on the college website. Intermediate Is enough to get admission. But you have to score upto score 80 to 90 percent in 12 classes to get CSE. Faculty are very helpful in every respect. The campus is quite well.
