- VERBAL ABILITY: This section carries the highest number of questions in IBSAT. The verbal ability section of IBSAT checks the English language ability of the candidate; which includes topics such as idioms and phases, synonyms and antonyms, cloze test, one word substitution, fill in the blanks, error detection, parajumbles and word analogy. The verbal ability section in IBSAT 2020 was easy to moderate but there were few tricky questions in this section as well.
- DATA INTERPRETATION AND DATA SUFFICIENCY: Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency checks candidates Data adequacy and logical thinking skills. This section covers pie graph, line graph, percentage chart, tables and percentage between two values. The difficulty level of this section is moderate except for a few tricky questions.
- QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE: Quantitative Aptitude section includes Average, LCM and HCF, Ratio and proportion, Time and work, Profit and Loss, Equations, Mensuration, series, polynomial, sets, geometry, functions, Time and speed, percentage, Algebra, Simple Interest and Compound Interest.Quantitative Aptitude section of IBSAT consists of 30 questions and candidates get approximately 1 minute for each question and it becomes a task to solve the questions within the allotted time limit as the section includes heavy calculations, formulae and theorems. IBSAT 2020 Quantitative Aptitude section was a little bit difficult but candidates who have practised enough must have performed well.
- READING COMPREHENSION: The reading comprehension section of IBSAT 2020 included 4passages each passage containing 500-700 words and there are a total 30questions. The questions are mostly direct and require merely reading of the passage but few inferential questions are time consuming. Inferential questions require candidates to read and analyze the passage and come to a conclusion.The difficulty level was from moderate to high.

IBSAT 2019 Paper Analysis
- VERBAL ABILITY: The Verbal ability section included majorly two sections: grammar and vocabulary. The section was dominated by vocabulary whose difficulty level was from easy to moderate. The grammar questions were comparatively easier than the vocabulary questions.
Overall the difficulty level of the verbal ability section was moderate to easy. 30-35 questions in 30 minutes is considered to be a good attempt.
- READING COMPREHENSION: The reading comprehension section consisted of 30 questions from 4 passages; each passage consisted of 500-700 words. The reading comprehension section was easy as it mostly consisted of direct and factual questions except few inference based questions.
24-30 questions in 30 minutes is considered to be a good attempt.
- Quantitative APTITUDE: The section was dominated by algebra which included heavy calculations, but the difficulty level of the quantitative aptitude was moderate.
21-25 questions in 30 minutes is considered to be a good attempt.
- DATA INTERPRETATION AND DATA SUFFICIENCY: This section consists of equal number of Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency. The overall difficulty level was moderate. 21-24 questions in 25 minutes is considered to be a good attempt.

- VERBAL ABILITY: The verbal ability section consists of roughly 5-7 types of questions. The difficulty level of the questions were moderate and 35-38 questions in 25 minutes is considered to be a good attempt.
- READING COMPREHENSION: The Reading Comprehension section consists of 4 passages, each passage consisted of 500-700 words. The reading comprehension section was moderately difficult. 20-25 questions in 25-27 minutes is considered to be a good attempt.
- QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE: The Quantitative Aptitude mainly consists of arithmetics, followed by modern maths. Candidates who have practised questions with various tricks can solve questions easily. 15-20 questions in 25 minutes is considered to be a good attempt.
- DATA INTERPRETATION AND DATA SUFFICIENCY: This section consists of equal questions both in Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency. There were 3 sets of questions in Data Interpretation. The difficulty level of data sufficiency questions was higher than that of Data Interpretation questions.
