IBSAT Selection Process 2022: ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education will begin IBSAT 2022 selection briefings on Jan 7, 2023. The selection briefings will be conducted till Jan 15, 2023. Candidates clearing IBSAT 2022 Cut Off will be eligible for the GD-PI rounds of the selection process scheduled from February 23 to March 4, 2023.

Candidates with CAT/GMAT/NMAT/GMAT scores are also eligible to secure admission into ICFAI Business Schools. The cut off for CAT and XAT is 60 percentile and above. For NMAT and GMAT, the minimum score requirement is 150 and 500 respectively. 

IBSAT selection process includes only 2 rounds- Personal interview (PI) and Group Discussion (GD). The final merit list will be released by authorities on the basis of a composite score prepared on the basis of GD & PI scores and past academic record. Check IBSAT Score Accepting Colleges

Stages of IBSAT 2022 Selection Process

Candidates who successfully qualify IBSAT will be shortlisted for the further process of selection. The candidates with the minimum cut off marks in IBSAT will be called for Personal Interview and Group Discussion which will take place on the university campus.

For final selection of candidates, past academic record, performance in GD and PI will be considered. Candidates are advised to take admission on due dates in the allotted institution. Here are the 4 main steps of IBSAT Selection Procedure: 

Stage 1- IBSAT Selection Briefings

  • Before IBSAT 2022 selection process starts, IBS conducts selection briefings in several cities across the country.
  • These briefings are like seminars that are conducted tprovide the right information and guidance tcandidates.
  • In IBSAT 2022 selection briefings, the experts from IBS answer all queries of candidates and alsprovide useful tips for GD and PI preparation.
  • A selection briefing is mainly divided into three parts –

Stage 2 – Group Discussion

  • After selection briefings, selected candidates will be invited for group discussion at the concerned IBS campus.
  • In this round, candidates are divided inta group of 8-10 (depends on the committee) and each group is given a topic tdiscuss among themselves for 15-20 minutes.
  • Other than current affairs, candidates should read newspapers and business magazines on a daily basis and alspractice some common topics which help the candidate tclear the group discussion round.
  • Group Discussions are used tassess aspirants on their leadership skills, communication skills, tactfulness, problem-solving abilities, and ability tstay focused and get the task done in the designated time.

Stage 3 – Personal Interview 

  • Candidates whhave successfully cracked the GD are called for the final selection round i.e. personal interview.
  • Personal interviews are designed tassess aspirants’ confidence, thought clarity, interpersonal and soft skills.
  • Personal Interview duration depends totally on aspirants’ answers.
  • It is mandatory for the shortlisted aspirants tappear for all the tests of GD and PI round tbe eligible for IBSAT 2022 Admission Procedure.

IBSAT 2022 Final Merit List

On completion of IBSAT 2022 selection procedure, authorities will release the final merit list of selected candidates. Based on the candidate's overall performance in GD, PI and academics, the concerned IBS will declare the final result tentatively in the month of March 2023. Details related to the preparation of the merit list are given in the following table.

Change of Date in Selection Process for IBSAT 2022

In case a candidate is unable to attend the selection process on the date allotted to him/her, the given procedure must be followed:

  • Candidate must confirm the date allotted to him/her nline.
  • After nline confirmation, candidates must send a request via mail t change the date by giving 3 alternate dates as per ntified by the institute.

  • One date will be finalized and communicated to the candidate depending on availability of vacancies.

IBSAT 2022 Selection Process FAQs

1. What is the fee structure for PGPM courses in IBS Campuses?

Ans. The total fee for the MBA program at IBS Hyderabad and IBS Bangalore campuses is INR 16.02 and INR 12.06 lakhs respectively. The total fee for the MBA program at IBS Dehradun and IBS Jaipur campuses is INR 6.03 lakhs. The total fee for the PGPM program at IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Kolkata, IBS Mumbai and IBS Pune campuses is INR 9.09 lakhs.

NOTE: The fee structure may be subject to change as per the decision of higher authority concerned.

2. What is IBSAT 2022 GD & PI?

Ans. IBSAT 2022 GD & PI rounds are conducted as part of the selection process. These are taken to check the overall performance and personality of the candidate. Based on the performance in GD and PI rounds, candidates get admission to MBA courses at the IBS campuses.

Ans. The selection procedure for IBSAT 2022 will be conducted offline in the university campus officially. It is mandatory for the selected candidate to appear for the process physically failing which the seat will be given to the reserved category candidate concerned.

5. What are the factors on which the cut off for IBSAT 2022 is based?

Ans. The cut off for IBSAT 2022 depends on three factors mainly mentioned below:

  • Number of Seats: If the number of seats available is more, then the IBSAT cut off will be low, sthat maximum number of seats could be filled.
  • Number of Applicants: If the number of applicants is higher then, the IBSAT cut off will be higher too.
  • Difficulty Level of Examination: The complexity of question paper alsdetermines the IBSAT cut off. If the difficulty level of question paper is high the cut off will be low.
