Dr. Kuldeep Singh has been working as the Principal of JCD Institute of Business Management, Sirsa, Haryana. He completed MBA in Marketing and PhD in General Business. He joined JCD as an MBA Professor and taught students from 2004-2010, and later received the honor to become Principal of the same institute. After this he worked as the Director for Guru Nanak Khalsa Institute of Technology and Management in Yamuna Nagar for 3 years until 2017. After that he joined the Chandigarh Group of Colleges as the Principal.

Which latest program are you offering in your institute to help students outperform and stand apart from the crowd?

"A full time MBA course is being offered by our college"

We are currently offering a full time MBA program in our college. And since we are affiliated to Ch Devi Lal University, Sirsaz hence we follow the curriculum designed by the University and the changes are only made once it's approved by the University. This prevents us from running any new program on our own.

Our faculties who have the responsibility to teach our students, are highly qualified and experienced in their respective areas. And our placement cell is highly resourceful and maintains good relationships with industry partners for the purpose of bringing good companies in college for recruitment drives. Students are also made aware about different tricks and techniques to crack interviews and also we do have a very stable recruitment and selection process. 

What are some of the best practices of courses your college offers to students?

"It's mandatory for students to attend business events, do internships and submit assignments in each sem"

The syllabus of our MBA program has been redesigned last year and consists of the latest syllabus and covers all the subjects/areas which are in demand in the industrial world. And some of the best practices of the MBA course includes a 2 months summer internship to give them practical business knowledge, assignments, mandatory presentation and lastly the events like seminar.

How do you build a strong connection between courses of your institute and industry demands? 

"Professional visits, apprenticeships and survey assignments are there for students"

For the purpose of enforcing a connection between institute courses and industrial requirements, we take our students for industrial visits in a wide variety of industries and then an assignment of doing surveys for a business unit is given to them which they have to present through a seminar. And after the 2nd semester, they undergo a 2 months summer internship in an industry. Apart from this, regular presentations and discussion on case studies in classroom teaching helps us to bridge this gap.

It gives me immense pleasure while telling that many of our students have started their own Startups and others are working in reputed companies.
