Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) provides study material in both printed as well as soft copies to its learners. Candidates opting for soft copies of their study material will get a 15% discount on their program fee. On the other hand, the printed material is sent to the registered address of the student via post or speed post. The Material Production and Distribution Division at IGNOU is responsible for sending the study material to the students all over the country. 

Students who opt for digital material will find their study material on e-GyanKosh. Apart from this, the students can also access the study material through IGNOU e-content app available on the Google Play store. The regional/study centers also conduct learning activities like counseling sessions, radio counseling, library facilities, teleconferencing, and audio-video programs for the students. IGNOU study material is prepared in multiple languages to help students from diverse backgrounds.

eGyanKosh is a national digital repository that preserves all the learning sources, with all the rights reserved by IGNOU. The university aims to encourage digital self-learning material by providing fee concession to students who opt for digital study material over the printed copy. It is currently the world’s largest repository of educational sources in higher education. It houses over 2500 courses and video programs as well.

How to Check IGNOU Study Material Status 2023?

Step 1: Visit the official website of IGNOU. Click on the ‘About IGNOU’ dropdown menu and select ‘Division’.

Step 2: A list of all divisions at the university will appear on the screen.

Step 3: Select the ‘Material Production & Distribution Division (MPDD)’.

Step 4: Click on ‘Study Material Status’ present on the left side of the screen.

Step 5: The study material status for all academic sessions will appear on the screen.

Step 6: Click on your respective academic session. A login window will appear to check the material dispatch status will appear. 

Step 7: Enter your 9-digit enrollment number in the given space. Click on the submit button.

Step 8: The study material status will be displayed on the screen.

Benefits of Printed IGNOU Study Material 2023

While taking admission or registering for another session in the university, the students are offered a 15% fee discount opting for soft copies or digital books as a preference of IGNOU study material. The university will refund 15% of admission fees to the bank account after opting for the same. The students can find their course material on the online portal i.e. e-GyanKosh. 

Additionally, there’s no fee to access the printed material on the website. Candidates can learn in a digital format and prepare for their term-end examinations. All the study material is available online in a PDF format. 

IGNOU Assignment 2023

Students must submit their assignments before the last date of submission based on their academic sessions and program. One must write the assignments in their own handwriting. Students are also advised to keep a copy of their assignments with them for future reference. After submitting, they must also collect the receipt from the regional/study centre of the submission of the assignment.

To check IGNOU Assignment 2020 status, one needs to enter their 9-digit enrolment number and program code. It must be noted that it is mandatory for every student to obtain passing marks in both term-end examination and IGNOU assignment to be eligible to get a degree or marksheet.
