Did you avail of the benefit of any reservation?

Antara: “General (No reservation)”

Describe the general setting of WAT / GD (if any)?

Antara: “CDPI at NMIMS typically consists of a case and you have to discuss based on that. Around 10 people participate in the discussion and like any other GD the process is the same. Only difference is that instead of giving you a topic they give you a case snippet.

My advice, don’t make it a fish market, keep it cool and fruitful. You will know your groups before going in for the CD. So I would advise you to get your group to a common understanding on how to tackle the CD. Be more dignified, don’t cut others when they are making a good point at least, because this will get you a bad image. From my experience with the NMIMS CD, we had a person in our group who asked us not to cut anyone and give everyone a chance and all that, and to our surprise in the CD, he is the one talking non-stop without even letting anyone else speak. So, when you face such people in the CD, just forget the ground rules you have made with your team and be as aggressive as you can (But don’t forget to make valid points)”

What was the WAT / GD Topic?

Antara: "It was a case revolving around some airline who was facing some issues due to the bad feedback they have been receiving from their customers due to late landings and stale food.”

What were your answers/points put forward for the WAT or GD respectively?

Antara: “I answered the case supporting the steps in crisis management.

1. Anticipate- The first step is to prepare. Be proactive and arrange an intensive brainstorming session to go through all the potential crises that could occur at your organization. The simple rule of thumb is to accept Murphy’s Law, “What can go wrong, will go wrong.”

2. Create a plan and test it- Build a good feedback mechanism. encourage more and more passengers to timely give updates and make sure the feedback reaches you at the correct time and not when things have already gone wrong.

3. Identify your crisis communication team. Allot a team leader and member just to handle this crisis situation and let him/ her do all the communication

4. Establish notification and monitoring systems.

5. Communicate, communicate, communicate.

6. Post-crisis analysis.”

Describe the general setting of your personal Interview.

Antara: “There were 3 people in my panel and it turned out they were all faculty of the college. It was an offline interview and a rather stressful one. They asked me questions only from academics revolving around my undergraduate subject- economics.”
