Did you avail of the benefit of any reservation?

Rhea Sharma: “General (No reservation)”

Describe the general setting of WAT / GD (if any)?

Rhea Sharma: “NMIMS, this year organised an online WAT. The WAT consisted of an argument and some data to support it on which we were asked to present our thought process. The topic my group was given revolved around agricultural R&D and the data gave a comparison of different country’s GDP contribution to agricultural sector R&D. We were given 15 mins (as far as I remember) to read the context, analyse the data and present our thought process. There was no mention of how much we were told to write but the time constraint was pretty self-explanatory to that. Aspirants, I feel, should not only concentrate on knowing what is happening around the world but should also have their own views on each topic and be able to support it and reason it out.”

What was the WAT / GD Topic?

Rhea Sharma: "The WAT context has huge and data inclusive, but the main idea revolved around different country’s GDP contribution to agricultural R&D and how India despite having a huge population involved in the agricultural sector spent so little in comparison to other countries on its R&D.”

What were your answer/points put forward for the WAT or GD respectively?

Rhea Sharma: “I wrote about the importance of R&D today. How India can exploit its agricultural sector for the benefit of the country and economy with such a large part of our population employed in this sector, the right kind of investments in the right direction can be fruitful to us and also give competition to other countries like China, which was investing a huge sum on its agricultural R&D.”

Describe the general setting of your personal Interview.

Rhea Sharma: “Owing to the pandemic, we also had an online Webex interview. My panel included 3 members. Honestly, I don’t remember how long was it. When you are giving an interview that’s the last thing you notice. Interviews always revolve around you, since I had work-ex, my questions were largely centred around that and why I wanted to do an MBA. Also, I feel your SOP, plays a huge role in your interview. Everything you write in your SOP needs to define you, your past and your future plans. But, having said that it’s perfectly normal to be stressed and a little nervous. Let’s admit we all are at that time. But eventually, we just need some confidence in ourselves to sail it through.”

4. Why MBA

5. Explain your job role at KPMG and its KPI’s

6. Your plans after MBA”

Mention 3 reasons why you chose this college over other colleges which you converted (OR if you did not join this college after converting it, mention 3 reasons for not joining it).

Rhea Sharma: “1. I belong to a finance area, NMIMS is most renowned for its finance placements.

2. Being situated in Mumbai, is always an added advantage.

3. It has numerous companies visiting the campus for various profiles.”

What was the reason for you not converting to other colleges?

Rhea Sharma: “I cleared all colleges I gave an interview for. I did not clear colleges because of the competitive exam’s sectional cut-offs.”
