Mr. Subba Rao has been working as the Chairman of KKR and KSR Institute of Technology and Sciences, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. He is a Philanthropist, Educationist and a Visionary person. He was born in an agricultural family in 1972 at Vinjanampadu village and has made his career and a successful life for himself through his hard work, dedication and commitment. He did his primary and secondary schooling from Vinjanampadu Ananthavarappadu village respectively. Later he pursued his intermediate from Hindu College, Graduation from JKC College of Guntur and Post Graduation in Mathematics from Bhavnagar University of Gujarat. The establishment of KKR and KSR Institute in 2008 and GSR and KKR Educational Society in 2007 fulfilled his long cherished dream of starting an Engineering College to serve the student community by offering technical education in both conventional and hi-tech disciplines of Engineering with all the state-of-art facilities. He started his professional career as a Lecturer in Mathematics and worked at JKC College for 6 years and later he joined GSR Educational Institutions as an Executive Director. He followed the footsteps of his Guru, Sri.C. Subba Rao, The former Chairman of Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education, inducing innovative administrative practices, introducing modern teaching methodologies and providing International standards of infrastructure.

What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

"My passion of providing a good career to students through my guidance and education has helped me"

I firmly believe that the things which have kept me associated with the education sector for so long is my passion to educate students and youths and help them to create a better career and future for themselves. Also, the disciplined life which I live helped me a lot in achieving new success in this sector. Lastly, the satisfaction, respect and happiness which this field offers to us makes me stay connected here. 

Being the Chairman of KKR & KSR Institute, how do you strategize the key programs for the marketing and administration of your college?

"I regularly attend seminars so that I can let people know about our college facilities and achievements"

Being the Chairman of KKR & KSR Institute, my main motto is to offer best facilities to our students because I believe when students are valued, nourished and get the best education, ultimately college reputation increases and it becomes best among youths and aspiring students. Also, I regularly attend State and Central Government Seminars where I get numerous opportunities to present my college, our activities and achievements with a larger audience. 

In your experience, what benefits students can gain from studying here in your institute?

"Our educational methodologies and programs as well as faculties are best in whole district"

As we all are aware that there is a huge gap between the education systems of India and foreign countries because we emphasize on imparting theoretical knowledge to students while overseas Colleges and Universities focus on providing practical knowledge and experience to their students. And if I talk about our college, then we follow the Central Govt. policies, Startup India policies, Smart India policies in our educational practices. And students after enrolling in our courses will definitely get best knowledge, facilities and industrial exposure here

How does the curriculum of your college ensure the best practices of industry?

"It comprises of best courses, research based learning and internships"

The curriculum of our college is designed after rigorous analysis of industrial and educational sector demands and consultation with eminent industry experts and academicians. Along with this, our main aim remains on strengthening the practical learning experience of students for which we offer them abundant windows to prepare for internships in good organizations. 

How is your KKR & KSR Institute more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

"We provide scholarships and financial aids to needy and bright students"

We cherish the diversity of students that we have in our college by providing everyone equal learning opportunities. Also, we offer scholarships to those students who come from economically less privileged backgrounds and financial assistance to our bright and genuine students for their all around growth and development.

What are your roles and responsibilities for KKR & KSR Institute and students?

"It is to guide my students, fix their issues on time and implement their suggestions in curriculum"

Being the Chairman of the institute, the horizon of my responsibilities is very vast but if I need to tell you a few of them, so interacting with my students, addressing their academic and personal issues and queries and resolving them on time, guiding them whenever they get stuck somewhere comes under my day-to-day tasks. Also, after interaction, whatever suggestions students provide to us as per their requirements, we try our best to implement them.

What do you think should be your institute top priority over the next 10 years?

"We should focus on enhancing the ratings of our college by improving our educational practices"

To be honest, when we started our journey of imparting quality education to students through our college courses, we were nowhere with our experience and expertise was less. But due to everyone's support and hard work we are in the list of Top 5 colleges in Guntur district. So our priority for the upcoming years would be to enhance our ranking and become no. 1 college not only Guntur but whole Andhra Pradesh. 

When you became the Chairman of KKR and KSR Institute, what was your vision for it?

"My aim was to educate my students about available career scope and offering them good amenities"

My aim when I became the Chairman of KKR and KSR Institute of Technology and Sciences was to provide proper career guidance and support to our students so that they can clearly figure out what they actually want from their life. Apart from this, providing them world class amenities in college so that they can grow on both personal and professional fronts was my motive. 

What would you like people to know about your institute?

"We provide best career guidance, opportunities and education here"

I would like to tell our people that we not only offer amazing facilities, good education and placement opportunities in our KKR Institutions, but also offer career counseling sessions and customized training programs to our students so that they can pursue their dreams and make a better future for themselves.

I firmly believe that the main pillars of our college strength is our disciplined environment which we have maintained for the smooth learning-working process, the quality and employment oriented education which we offer to our students and amazing facilities and perks which we provide to everyone who works with us and works for us. In addition to this, our placement records and entrepreneurship skills which we instill in our students from the start of semester itself in every student through a wide variety of means makes us strong. 

How do you prepare your students for the outside competitive world?

"By organizing inspirational sessions and guiding them about available opportunities"

For the purpose of preparing our students for the outside competitive world, we regularly motivate them by organizing motivational classes and asking them to have faith in their skills and never compare their individuality with anyone as everyone has some unique qualities. 

Any suggestions which you would like to give to the current youth and aspiring students?

"Don't get addicted to social media and keep learning new things"

In this digital world, when technologies are changing at a very fast pace, social media is not untouched and students sometimes get addicted to both their phone as well as social media. So the only thing which I would like to suggest to them is that make best use of your time, and don't use social media and phones unnecessarily and whenever you are using them, make sure you always learn something new. 

What are some plans that you are currently designing for your institute's students?

"We have done alliance with reputed foreign universities to bring new learning windows for them"

As we are an Autonomous College, currently we are collaborating with the foreign companies for the purpose of offering new learning opportunities and skill upgradation programs to our students.

How do you establish a healthy relationship and environment in your college?

We have made the environment of our college so homely that our students never feel alienated. Also, we address their queries and issues on time, provide them proper guidance whenever they get stuck somewhere and that's how we maintain a good relationship between our students and teachers.
